How to remove dampness with moxibustion

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the reason why people get sick is mainly due to the invasion of six evil spirits: wind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness and fire. Among these evil spirits that can cause us to become ill, dampness is the most serious and also the most difficult to treat. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that dampness is the root of all evil, so once dampness appears in the body it must be removed as soon as possible. Dampness can be effectively removed through traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture or moxibustion, but the selection of acupoints is important.

Acupuncture and moxibustion are both traditional Chinese medical treatment methods in my country and have very good therapeutic effects. As people become more and more aware of the negative effects of Western medicine on the human body, more and more people are choosing Chinese medicine physical therapy. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that due to insufficient positive energy in the human body, the body's resistance is reduced, and some dampness will invade our body and cause illness.

Which acupoints should be moxibustioned to remove phlegm and dampness: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that moxibustion has a good effect of replenishing yang and removing dampness. It is a very good means of health preservation and treatment. Moxibustion at the correct acupoints can not only effectively remove dampness in the body, but also has the effect of preventing various diseases. There are many common moxibustion methods.

Guanyuan Point: This acupoint is located about three inches below our navel. It is an acupoint that has excellent health-preserving and body-strengthening effects. Long-term moxibustion on this acupoint can effectively regulate qi and blood, and it also has a good effect on nourishing the kidneys and consolidating essence. Generally speaking, if you use moxa sticks, the time should be controlled at around 10 to 15 minutes; if you use cupping jars for moxibustion, the time can be slightly extended to around 20 to 30 minutes.

There are many factors that cause dampness in our body, such as eating too much meat, food contamination, or too little exercise. These reasons will make our body yin-dominant and yang-deficient, making it easy for dampness to invade the body. Therefore, in order to prevent moisture from invading the body, you should exercise more, eat more vegetables, fruits and melons, and consume meat in a reasonable amount and not too much.
