Mugwort has a fragrant smell and is colorful, so it is natural that it has become a must-have for the Dragon Boat Festival. Bathing in mugwort water has also become an important activity of the ancient Dragon Boat Festival. Since ancient times, there has been a custom in my country of hanging mugwort leaves, hanging calamus, sprinkling realgar, and taking mugwort baths on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. In many areas, newborns and postpartum women also have to take a bath with mugwort water. These customs have been passed down to modern times. Mugwort can kill bacteria and disinfect, purify the air, and play a good role in preventing the spread of disease.

Mugwort leaves for itchy skin

For skin diseases such as skin itching, eczema, scabies, etc., wash the affected area with water boiled with dry mugwort leaves. Wash it once in the morning and evening every day. After washing, apply the mugwort residue to the affected area for 20 to 30 minutes. The effect is very good.

Treatment of Folliculitis and Eczema with Mugwort Bath

Boil mugwort leaves into juice, then dilute it with water and use it for bathing. It can remove small red bumps on the body and has a certain effect on folliculitis and eczema.

Specific method: Take 30-50 grams of fresh moxa leaves, soak them in boiling water in a bathtub for 10 minutes, take out the moxa leaves, add water to a suitable water temperature and you can take a bath. Why not take a bath with moxa leaves!

Treatment of spleen and stomach deficiency and coldness with mugwort leaf and ginger bath

People with yang deficiency often have pale complexion, cold hands and feet, like heat and fear cold, cold pain in the abdomen, and a pale and fat tongue. Medicinal bath with mugwort and ginger can warm the yang, unblock the meridians and dispel cold, and treat various yang deficiency and cold syndromes. Take 25-50g of mugwort leaves, 25g of ginger, and an appropriate amount of fine salt. Soak ginger slices and moxa leaves in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes, add them to the warm water in the bathtub, and take a bath when the water temperature is suitable. You can also use mugwort and ginger to rub your abdomen to treat spleen and stomach deficiency and coldness.

Mugwort, ginger and salt water bath to relieve constipation

Take 50 to 100 grams of fresh moxa leaves (25 to 50 grams of dried moxa leaves) and 25 grams of ginger (cut into slices), brew them in boiling water in a bathtub for 5 to 10 minutes, then cool them to a suitable temperature before bathing. When washing, sprinkle a little salt (fine salt will do) on the lower abdomen, and then use moxa leaves and ginger to wipe the lower abdomen in a clockwise direction until the skin becomes red and hot. People with delicate skin do not need to use salt. Instead, they can wipe the skin directly with mugwort leaves and ginger. Doing this once a day will be very helpful in relieving constipation.
