Correct posture for breastfeeding

Many new mothers have a headache when it comes to breastfeeding. They always fail to feed their babies well, and sometimes the babies even cry. At this time, you must first calm the baby down, and then feed the baby. Otherwise, the baby will easily swallow air while crying while breastfeeding, and may also spit out milk or even choke! When feeding, hold the baby up with one side of the head high and the other side of the feet low, so that the baby will not choke easily!

We all know that breast milk is very nutritious and is especially suitable for children's growth needs. It also contains some antibodies that can better improve children's immunity and disease resistance. Breast milk is the best choice and is more nutritious than any milk powder. Breast milk is not only beneficial to the child's growth, but also helps the mother's physical recovery. As a breastfeeding mother, you must supplement nutrition well so that breast milk can become better. Let's talk about the correct posture of breastfeeding.

Steps/Methods:

1 The correct breastfeeding posture should be adopted. You should adopt a relaxed and comfortable position to breastfeed while sitting, lying down or standing. When holding the baby, you should make sure the baby's head is close to your breast and the nose is facing the nipple, so that the baby's head, neck and body are basically in a straight line. However, the newborn baby's hips should be supported with one hand.

2 You should adopt the correct breast-supporting posture. You should place your thumb and other fingers on the upper and lower parts of the breast respectively. After lifting the breast, use the upper thumb to gently press the breast. This can prevent the breast from blocking the baby's nostrils and affecting breathing, and can also prevent the baby from choking due to milk flowing too quickly.

3. Pay attention to the baby's feeding posture. The baby's body should be close to the mother's mouth and chin when feeding, and the breasts should be healthy. When sucking milk, the child opens his mouth very wide and can hold a small amount of areola. If you can hear the child swallowing, it means the child is sucking milk normally.

Note:

When breastfeeding, the breasts on both sides should be fed alternately, otherwise it will cause an imbalance in the breasts on both sides. Try not to move the breasts when breastfeeding. You should wash your breasts with clean water before breastfeeding to prevent bacterial infection.
