Meniscus injury synovitis

Meniscus injury synovitis

The bones that make up the human leg are very complex, with many different components around the knee joint alone. The meniscus on the leg mainly refers to a semicircular bone around the knee joint. If the knee is not used properly, it is easy to cause meniscus injury. However, synovitis is also a common disease of the knee joint. So what is the difference between meniscus injury and synovitis?

We all know that the symptoms of synovitis and meniscus injury are somewhat similar, so many people do not understand the difference between the two diseases, which can easily affect the treatment of the disease and seriously endanger their health. Therefore, we must not take this situation lightly. After finding that we have these symptoms, we should go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination to distinguish the condition, and then take corresponding measures for treatment?

There are many differences between synovitis and meniscus injury.

1. Synovitis is caused by abnormal proliferation of the synovial membrane in the joints, which will affect the patient's joint ligaments, cartilage and bone tissue, thus causing symptoms such as joint swelling and pain. Meniscus injury is mainly caused by external force damage to the joint. If there is no external force damage, this situation will not generally occur on its own.

2. After patients suffer from synovitis, joint effusion often occurs, and local redness, swelling, pain and itching will occur, which will cause great pain to patients. If not treated in time, the infection may even worsen, which will have a serious impact on physical health. When the meniscus is injured, abnormal noises occur when the joint is flexed and extended, and there is often a tearing sensation in the joint. If it is not treated actively, it may even lead to joint flexion and extension dysfunction, which will seriously affect daily life.

3. For diseases such as synovitis, we can use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for treatment under the guidance of a doctor, which can quickly relieve the patient's pain and effectively control the patient's inflammation. If the patient has joint effusion, we can also perform puncture and fluid extraction treatment, so that the fluid in the knee joint can be discharged from the body and the body can recover as soon as possible. As for meniscus injuries, it is best to perform surgery to remove the damaged meniscus so that the body can recover as soon as possible.

Through the above introduction, I believe everyone has understood the difference between synovitis and meniscus injury. These two diseases have different causes, symptoms, and treatments, so we must not confuse the conditions, otherwise it will seriously delay the treatment of the disease and cause more serious consequences, thus seriously endangering the patient's health.
