What causes reddish brown stool?

Mostly caused by internal hemorrhoids. Close observation is recommended. If there is no blood on the surface of the stool and the whole stool is dark red, it means there is gastrointestinal bleeding, but there is no need to be nervous. You can go to the gastroenterology department for a gastroscopy. If there is no problem with your stomach, you should have a colonoscopy.

How to treat hemorrhoids yourself:

1. Diet adjustment:

2. Conditioning through exercise:

3. Develop good convenience habits:

4. Maintain anal hygiene:

Pay attention to maintaining anal hygiene, clean the anus frequently, change underwear frequently, and take a sitz bath.

5. Medication conditioning:

In the early stages of hemorrhoids, you can follow the doctor's advice to use some medication or sitz bath fumigation to treat hemorrhoids.

Some common medications for hemorrhoids:

1. 30g each of dandelion, phellodendron, red peony root, and moutan bark, 20g of peach kernel, 30g of wild yam, and 15g of angelica dahurica. One pack per day, can be used 3 times. When using, first add 3000 ml of water, wait for it to boil, remove the residue, then pour the liquid medicine into a basin, fumigate and then wash the affected area while it is hot, each time for about 20 minutes. This method can clear away heat and detoxify, remove dampness and reduce swelling, promote blood circulation and relieve blood stasis, and can be used to treat hemorrhoids.

2. 10 grams each of sulfur and realgar, and 3 grams of camphor. Before use, grind them into powder, then mix them with an appropriate amount of sesame oil and apply them to the affected area. This method can treat hemorrhoids caused by damp heat.

3. 10 grams each of black plum and gallnut, 15 grams of Sophora flavescens, 10 grams each of Belamcanda chinensis and roasted pangolin, 30 grams of calcined oyster, and 10 grams of hemp seed. Decoction in water and take orally, one dose per day, twice a day. The function of this method is to clear away heat and detoxify, moisten the intestines and promote bowel movements, and it can be used to treat hemorrhoids.

4. Appropriate amount of duckweed. Boil it with water and use the liquid to wipe the affected area while it is still hot. This method can be used for patients whose skin is scratched and bleeds due to hemorrhoids, but who do not have any discharge.

5. 10 grams each of Sophora japonica flower and Sanguisorba officinalis, 15 grams each of Agrimoniae, Eclipta prostrata, and Platycladus orientalis leaves, 10 grams of Citrus aurantium, 5 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 15 grams of sesame seeds, and 30 grams of Amaranthus leucophylla. Decoction with water and take orally, 1 dose twice a day. In addition, the decoction can also be used to fumigate and wash the affected area. This method has the effects of clearing the intestines, removing dampness, and stopping bleeding, and can be used to treat hemorrhoids.
