How long does it take for Maca to take effect?

Generally speaking, if you want to see the effect of Chinese herbal medicine like Maca after taking it, it will not work so quickly. As a Chinese herbal medicine, the effect is actually relatively slow. Therefore, people need to be patient when taking it and be prepared to take it for a long time. Most people need to take one or two courses of treatment before their condition appears to improve and will not worsen.

1. Soaking maca powder in wine is said to be the best way. It is a good way to maintain health if consumed for a long time.

150 grams of dried maca slices can be soaked in 5 kilograms of white wine. After soaking for 30 days, take it twice a day, 30-40 ml each time.

2. Make soup. If the symptoms are severe, you can use this method and eat more, but it feels a bit wasteful.

3. Make tea, cut into slices, soak in water and drink as tea, similar to the way of eating American ginseng. You can choose dried maca slices, 10 grams a day, 3-5 slices at a time, and brew them with boiling water. Do not throw away the slices after soaking, you can chew them and swallow them.

4. As for maca products, I don’t really recommend them because the content is limited after all, and the content is higher in the original fruit or dried fruit.

5. Fry fresh maca into juice and drink it, but due to the time period when fresh maca fruit is available, only some people can enjoy it.

The Ministry of Health stipulates that the daily intake should not exceed 25 grams. Just keep it within 30g.

The macaamide and macaene contained in maca powder are two unique active substances unique to maca. The main components are: n-benzylhexadecylamide, -benzyl-(92) octadecylamide, n-benzyl-(92, 122)-diene octadecylamide, -benzyl-(92, 122, 152)-triene octadecylamide, n-benzyl octadecylamide, and n-benzyl octanamide, n-benzyl-16-hydroxy-9-oxidation-10E12E14E-octantrienamide, n-benzyl-16hydroxy-9, 16-dioxy-10E12E14E-octantrienamide and other 17 homologues. The content of macaamide and macaene in maca extract is 0.6%.

Use maca powder to soak in water. Grind the dried maca slices into powder in advance and then soak them in water to drink. This way the maca can be better dissolved in the water and the nutrients of the maca can be absorbed more effectively.

Fresh maca fruit cannot be soaked because fresh maca contains a lot of water. After being soaked in wine, the alcohol cannot enter the maca fruit and force out the effective ingredients inside, so the effect is not very good.

Moreover, since the active ingredients are basically all in the fresh maca fruit, no nutrients can be absorbed, so maca wine has basically no taste. So in general, it is recommended that you do not use fresh maca to make wine.
