Don’t internal hemorrhoids hurt? What should I do if internal hemorrhoids bleed?

Internal hemorrhoids are a common anorectal disease with a high incidence rate, and it is said that "nine out of ten people have hemorrhoids." Among the many symptoms of hemorrhoids, internal hemorrhoid bleeding is a common one. So how are internal hemorrhoids classified?

Internal hemorrhoids classification

Bleeding internal hemorrhoids: There are no obvious symptoms at this time. You will bleed in your stool without noticing during bowel movements, either dripping or spraying out in a linear shape. Intermittent or continuous, characterized by blood.

Prolapsed internal hemorrhoids: At this time, internal hemorrhoids often prolapse with defecation, or when you are tired, walk for a long time, cough hard, or catch a cold. At first, they can shrink back by themselves, but after a long time, they cannot shrink back by themselves and must be supported by hands or rest in bed before they can shrink back. The characteristic is a burning sensation in the anus due to friction.

Painful internal hemorrhoids: The internal hemorrhoids at this time are called incarcerated hemorrhoids. The internal hemorrhoids repeatedly prolapse and cannot be reduced. The mucosa on the surface of the hemorrhoids is often subjected to external mechanical stimulation and friction, which makes it easy to become inflamed and form blood clots. In severe cases, it can lead to edema or compressive necrosis. Generally, when internal hemorrhoids are thrombosed, inflammatory external hemorrhoids may often occur. Some people also refer to this situation as "acute attack of internal hemorrhoids." Of course, doctors are sometimes also responsible for this situation because improper handling of internal hemorrhoids such as ligation, injection, and hemorrhoid drying can lead to incarcerated hemorrhoids.

Symptoms of internal hemorrhoid bleeding

1. The characteristic of internal hemorrhoid bleeding is that it occurs during defecation, and the bleeding stops after defecation, and the blood in the stool is often intermittent.

2. Internal hemorrhoids bleed in small amounts, but the blood is bright red, and some only stain the toilet paper.

3. Internal hemorrhoid bleeding. Most patients with internal hemorrhoids have drops of blood during bowel movements. A very small number of patients may have spurting bleeding, and heavy bleeding is occasionally seen.

How to prevent internal hemorrhoid bleeding?

1. Develop the habit of regular bowel movements every day.

2. Prevent constipation. Eat more fresh vegetables, drink more water, etc.

3. It is advisable to exercise more often. Increase the amount of exercise.

4. Combine work and rest. Avoid overwork or sitting, standing or walking for long periods of time.

Experts say: Developing good living habits can effectively prevent the occurrence of hemorrhoids. However, if the disease has already occurred, you should go to a regular hospital in time to find out the cause and receive standardized treatment. If internal hemorrhoids are not treated for a long time and cannot heal on their own, the condition will worsen and develop into severe mixed hemorrhoids.
