During the physical examination, it is inevitable to have a chest X-ray or CT scan. Both of these examination methods can clearly see the condition of the human lungs. People who smoke frequently should have regular examinations. According to surveys, smoking can induce lung cancer. At the same time, the incidence of other lung diseases is also very high. In order to make your body healthier, you should stop smoking. So what are lung streaks? First, what are the linear shadows in the lungs? Scar changes are mostly sequelae of acute or chronic lung inflammation, and are seen in incompletely absorbed pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung abscesses, etc. Old pneumonia and lung abscess usually have a clear medical history, and fibrous cords are left after the inflammation in the corresponding area is absorbed. Past medical history of old tuberculosis may be clear or unclear. It may be accompanied by symptoms such as cough and low fever, and mostly occurs in the posterior segment of the upper lobe apex and the dorsal segment of the lower lobe. Multiple patchy shadows and calcification foci can often be seen around them. If accompanied by active pulmonary tuberculosis, multiple flocculent shadows can also be seen, which is a manifestation of exudative lesions. CT shows it more clearly, and signs of bronchial dissemination such as the tree-bud sign can also be seen. Sometimes, incomplete absorption of chronic nonspecific inflammation in the lungs may also leave scar fibers, with an unclear history of pneumonia, localized small linear shadows in the lungs, and no other specific manifestations. It is more common in middle-aged and elderly patients and may be accompanied by chronic lung diseases such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and bronchiectasis. In addition, radiation pneumonitis after radiotherapy and cryptogenic organizing pneumonia also belong to this type of changes. Second, immune lesions generally include idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, connective tissue disease, etc., which are mostly diffuse lesions in the lungs. Small cord-like shadows such as thickening of the lobular septa can be seen on early CT. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is now generally believed to be related to immunity. The disease is insidious in the early stage, and dry cough and progressive dyspnea gradually appear. Velcro rales can be heard in both lungs during physical examination. Imaging often shows small grid-like shadows in the middle and lower outer fields of both lungs, which may be asymmetric and have cord-like shadows. The lesions gradually expand upward and toward the center, and later develop into honeycomb lung. Connective tissue diseases often have a variety of corresponding clinical manifestations. Pulmonary manifestations are diverse and may be accompanied by other signs such as pleural effusion. What are the lung streaks? Edema lesions Interstitial pulmonary edema is mostly caused by heart failure and pulmonary venous hypertension. Images show signs such as Kerley A lines and Kerley B lines. .Inflammatory lesions When young patients suffer from interstitial inflammation, interstitial lesions such as small linear shadows and lattice-like shadows can be seen in the lungs. |
