The kidney is an important organ in the human body. On the surface, its function does not seem to be very significant. However, once abnormal mental and nervous system symptoms appear, symptoms such as mental depression, fatigue, dizziness, headache, memory loss, insomnia, numbness of the limbs, burning pain in the hands and feet, and itching of the skin may occur, and even unbearable itching and pain in the lower limbs, requiring frequent movement and inability to rest. 1. Gastrointestinal manifestations are the earliest and most common symptoms of uremia. The main complaints in the early stage are anorexia and abdominal discomfort, followed by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, glossitis, urine odor in the mouth, oral mucosal ulcers, and even massive gastrointestinal bleeding. 2. Mental and nervous system manifestations include mental depression, fatigue, dizziness, headache, memory loss, insomnia, numbness of the limbs, burning pain in the hands and feet, itchy skin, and even unbearable itching and pain in the lower limbs, requiring frequent movement and inability to rest. In the late stage, drowsiness, irritability, delirium, muscle tremors and even convulsions, seizures, and coma may occur. 3. Cardiovascular system manifestations often include increased blood pressure. Long-term hypertension can cause left ventricular hypertrophy and enlargement, myocardial damage, and heart failure. Retained toxic substances can cause myocardial damage and uremic pericarditis. 4. Anemia in the hematopoietic system is an inevitable symptom in patients with uremia. In addition to anemia, there are also easy bleeding symptoms, such as subcutaneous ecchymosis, epistaxis, bleeding gums, black stools, etc. 5. Respiratory system symptoms: Breathing is deep and long when acidosis occurs. Retention of metabolites can cause uremic bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy, and corresponding clinical symptoms and signs. 6. Skin manifestations: The skin loses its luster, becomes dry and flaky. 7. Metabolic Acidosis 8. Dehydration or edema 9. Electrolyte imbalance (1) Hyponatremia and sodium retention (2) Hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia 10. Patients with metabolic disorders often have obvious hypoproteinemia and weight loss. In addition, patients with uremia often have hyperlipidemia. |
