When using the drip method, the buttocks must be raised about 20 cm, and the anal canal is replaced by a urinary catheter with an insertion length of about 10 to 15 cm. The drip rate is generally 60 to 70 drops/min. Attention should be paid to keeping the liquid warm during dripping.
