Can cupping help you lose weight?

In life, some friends seem to easily accumulate fat in their belly. As the fat accumulates, the belly becomes bigger and bigger, and sometimes it may even be difficult for them to put on clothes. Especially for men, their belly becomes very big after marriage. If they want to make their body more beautiful, they definitely need to lose this fat. Some people believe that cupping can help lose weight. Is this really the case?

There are many ways to lose weight, and scraping is one of them. Everyone should know that scraping can help people's health, but many people will doubtfully ask whether scraping can help lose weight. Scraping is only for health care and health preservation. Many people are still skeptical about scraping for weight loss. Let me tell you whether scraping for weight loss is effective. Is scraping for weight loss effective? Scraping for weight loss When the body fat accumulates excessively and the body weight exceeds the normal standard by more than 20%, it is called obesity. However, it is necessary to distinguish between simple and secondary obesity. The so-called simple obesity refers to the absence of significant changes in neural, endocrine morphology and function, but may be accompanied by metabolic regulation process disorders. This type of obesity is more common in clinical practice. Secondary obesity refers to obesity caused by neurological, endocrine and metabolic diseases, or genetic, drug and other factors.

Gua Sha weight loss is mainly aimed at simple obesity. Simple obesity can occur at any age, but most people are over 40 years old. The incidence rate is higher in women, especially after menopause. Mild obesity often causes no symptoms. Moderately obese people often suffer from heat intolerance, excessive sweating, fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, headache, palpitations, abdominal distension, and lower limb edema. Extreme obesity can cause alveolar insufficient ventilation, hypoxia, and carbon dioxide retention, which can cause chest tightness, shortness of breath, drowsiness, and in severe cases, can lead to cardiopulmonary failure. This disease is easily accompanied by coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, gout, cholelithiasis, degenerative changes in bones and joints, decreased menstrual volume in women, and even amenorrhea.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the causes of obesity are nothing more than deficiency and excess, among which phlegm and dampness and qi deficiency are more common. This is in line with the theory that "fat people are more likely to have phlegm and dampness" and "fat people are more likely to have qi deficiency". People with internal accumulation of phlegm and dampness have symptoms such as obesity, increased appetite, a preference for sweet and greasy food, chest tightness and abdominal distension, frequent phlegm, fatigue and aversion to heat, a fat tongue with thick coating, and a stringy and slippery pulse. People with qi deficiency may be fat, have shortness of breath and be lazy to speak, sweat when moving, be afraid of cold, have swollen face and limbs, have poor appetite, be tired and like to lie down, have a pale tongue with white coating, and a thready and weak pulse. It should be noted that there are many patients who suffer from both deficiency and excess symptoms. Regardless of whether you are deficient or excessive, you can start by regulating the spleen and stomach, because obesity is mostly caused by spleen and stomach dysfunction, which prevents the essence of water and grain from being distributed, resulting in the accumulation of phlegm, dampness and fat. 1) Order of scraping: (1) Back (2) Chest and abdomen (3) Upper limbs (4) Lower limbs 2) Main meridian points: Lung Shu, Spleen Shu, Kidney Shu (bladder meridian); Tanzhong, Zhongwan, Guanyuan (Ren meridian); Kongzui to Lieque (lung meridian); Quchi (large intestine meridian); Fenglong (stomach meridian); Sanyinjiao (spleen meridian)
