Cefaclor capsules can treat urethritis. The main pathogens of urethritis are Escherichia coli, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus, and cefaclor capsules have an inhibitory effect on the activity of penicillinase-producing Staphylococcus aureus, group A hemolytic Streptococcus, viridans Streptococcus and Staphylococcus epidermidis.

The activity of Cefaclor Capsules against penicillinase-producing Staphylococcus aureus, group A hemolytic Streptococcus, viridans Streptococcus and Staphylococcus epidermidis is the same as that of Cefuroxil; the antibacterial effect against non-enzyme-producing Staphylococcus aureus and Pneumococcus is 2 to 4 times stronger than that of Cefuroxil; the activity against Gram-negative bacilli including Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae is stronger than that of Cefuroxil and is similar to that of Cefuroxil; the activity against Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella and Shigella is stronger than that of Cefuroxil.

Acute urethritis can be treated with a combination of antibiotics and chemical drugs, which has a better therapeutic effect.
