Symptoms of urethritis recovery

Symptoms of urethritis recovery

Urethritis is a disease that women are prone to for many years. Because the structure of women's lower body is different from that of men, women are more susceptible to bacterial infection after defecation, which is why girls need to pay attention to hygiene. Healthy living habits can reduce the occurrence of avian urethritis. Urethritis can be cured if it is treated promptly. So what are the symptoms of urethritis being cured?

Since urethritis has been cured, it means that it is already healed. Don't worry too much about how it was now, just like it was before the disease. You can go to the hospital for a routine urine test. If the results are normal, you can take the medicine for another three to five days to consolidate the results.

Urethritis is a common disease, which refers to the inflammation of the urethral mucosa, and is more common in women. Clinically, it can be divided into acute and chronic, nonspecific urethritis and gonococcal urethritis. The latter two have similar clinical manifestations and must be differentiated based on medical history and bacteriological examination. It is mostly caused by retrograde invasion of pathogenic bacteria into the urethra.

Differential Diagnosis

1. Acute cystitis

The main symptoms are bladder irritation such as frequent urination, urgency and pain when urinating, but patients with cystitis mainly experience pain at the end of urination, and bacteria grow in midstream urine culture.

2. Acute pyelonephritis

The main manifestations are sudden urinary tract irritation symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating, often accompanied by low back pain, chills, fever and other symptoms. Physical examination shows percussion pain in the kidney area and pus cells are found in routine urine examination.

3. Acute prostatitis

Symptoms include frequent urination, urgency and pain when urinating, but prostatitis also causes perineal discomfort, difficulty urinating and fever; rectal examination reveals an enlarged prostate with tenderness.

4. Gonococcal urethritis

Symptoms include frequent urination, urgency and pain, redness and swelling of the urethral opening, thin or purulent secretions, and often a history of unclean sexual intercourse. Gonorrhea can be seen in a smear examination of urethral secretions, which can confirm the diagnosis.

5. Bladder tuberculosis

Symptoms include frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. Pus cells are found in the urine. There is often a history of urinary tuberculosis, and acid-fast bacilli can be found in urine acid-fast staining.

6. Trichomonas urethritis

Symptoms include frequent urination, urgency, burning pain and itching in the urethra, and Trichomonas can be found in urethral secretions.

complication

Complications for male patients include epididymitis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, etc.; complications for female patients include endometritis, salpingitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, peritonitis, etc.

Urinary tract infection can spread directly to the bladder or prostate and cause cystitis or prostatitis. If acute urethritis is not treated properly, it may be complicated by paraurethral abscess, which may penetrate the skin of the penis and become urethral fistula. During the healing process of urethral inflammation, fibrosis can cause urethral stricture.
