What should not be eaten for arrhythmia

Arrhythmia is related to what people often call cardiovascular disease, but there are too many causes of arrhythmia. Arrhythmia generally occurs more frequently in the elderly. If the elderly feel their heartbeat is too fast or too slow, they feel dizzy, have chest tightness, or even faint, they must find out as soon as possible whether it is an arrhythmia. Severe arrhythmias can lead to sudden death. So what should you not eat if you have arrhythmia?

Arrhythmia is caused by abnormal excitation of the sinoatrial node or excitation generated outside the sinoatrial node, slow conduction, blockage or conduction through abnormal channels, that is, the origin and (or) conduction disorder of cardiac activity leads to abnormal frequency and (or) rhythm of heart beats.

What foods should you avoid if you have arrhythmia?

1. Limit calorie intake. Generally, the daily intake is 25 to 35 calories per kilogram of body weight. Those who are obese can consume the lower limit.

2. Limit protein supply, generally 1 to 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight per day. When heart failure and high blood pressure occur, protein should be controlled within 1 gram per kilogram of body weight per day.

3. Limit high-fat, high-cholesterol foods, such as animal offal, animal oils, muscles, egg yolks, crabs, fish roe, etc.

4. Do not consume substances that may stimulate the heart and blood vessels, such as tobacco, alcohol, strong tea, coffee and spicy condiments. Be careful when eating foods that cause bloating, such as raw radish, raw cucumber, cabbage, leek, onion, etc., to avoid gastrointestinal bloating and affect heart activity.

5. Limit salt and water intake. Especially for patients with edema, strict control should be implemented. People with edema and heart failure should not add salt and soy sauce to their diet.

Arrhythmia is an important group of cardiovascular diseases. It can occur alone or in conjunction with cardiovascular disease. It can occur suddenly and cause sudden death, or it can persist and cause heart failure. Patients with arrhythmia must prevent high blood pressure and eat more heart and liver protective foods.
