Tips for Relieving Itch from Seafood Allergies

Tips for Relieving Itch from Seafood Allergies

Speaking of seafood, seafood is indispensable for some people who grew up by the sea, so they have liked eating seafood since childhood. People like me have never had allergic reactions to seafood, but in life, we do see people who are allergic to seafood. Once allergic reactions occur, itching is inevitable. So how can we stop the itching in time? Today, let me share some tips for stopping itching caused by seafood allergies:

When people are allergic to seafood, those with mild allergies will just feel an abnormal burning sensation in the body, while those with severe cases will have red bumps all over the body, which is also unbearable.

What is needed at this time is not alcohol, but some anti-allergic drugs, such as cetirizine hydrochloride capsules or chlorpheniramine maleate, commonly known as chlorpheniramine. It is recommended that you avoid eating raw or cold food, drink more water, and pay attention to the symptoms. The diet should be lighter. Pay attention to physical exercise, strengthen your physical fitness, increase immunity, eat more fruits and vegetables, avoid spicy and irritating foods, avoid fish, seafood, ginger, garlic and other foods, and quit smoking and drinking.

Allergy is a chronic disease and is related to physical constitution. You can take Claritin or Chlorpheniramine orally for allergy prevention, and combine it with vitamin C and calcium gluconate for treatment. Triamcinolone acetonide cream can be applied topically.

It is important to be careful not to scratch the itching with your hands, as the more you scratch, the itchiness will become worse. Scratching the area will increase the temperature, causing the blood to release more allergens, which will make the condition worse.

Don’t use hot compresses: Using hot compresses once it itches is another form of irritation because heat causes blood vessels to dilate and release more allergens. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, eat less fried, deep-fried or spicy foods, avoid seafood and eggs, and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins.
