The dangers of nose bleeding

Nosebleed is a very minor problem for many people, because occasional nosebleed may just be caused by heat in the body, so many patients with nosebleed do not care much about it. However, nosebleed is actually very harmful. If we do not pay enough attention to nosebleed, nosebleed will bring great harm to our body. So what are the hazards of nosebleed?

Nosebleeds in pregnant women can easily affect the fetus. Nosebleeds can easily cause anemia and lead to low blood pressure. Nosebleeds can cause suffocation and may cause symptoms such as myocardial infarction.

Nosebleeds in pregnant women often affect the health of the fetus. Severe nosebleeds can cause fetal distress, or even premature birth or stillbirth.

It causes hemorrhagic anemia. Excessive blood loss in a short period of time causes acute hemorrhagic anemia, while repeated small nosebleeds over a long period of time cause chronic hemorrhagic anemia.

Hemorrhagic shock mainly occurs in the elderly and weak, because their heart, lung and kidney compensatory functions are poor, and acute massive blood loss or persistent nosebleeds can easily lead to shock.

Hemorrhagic anemia causes ischemia and hypoxia of the inner ear, leading to presbycusis.

It causes a sudden drop in blood pressure and acute coronary artery blood supply insufficiency, which is more likely to induce or aggravate the condition in those with existing cardiovascular insufficiency. Frequent nosebleeds can also induce congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema. Severe anemia can also lead to myocardial infarction, which is one of the causes of death from frequent nosebleeds.

Hypertensive arteriosclerosis is the main cause of nosebleeds in hypertensive patients. If hemostatics, procoagulants and antihypertensive drugs are abused, nosebleeds may cause cerebrovascular accidents.

Frequent nosebleeds cause nasal blood to enter the maxillary sinus cavity. When there is a potential infection lesion in the sinus cavity, the blood that enters the sinus cavity coagulates around the lesion to form onion-like light yellow tumor-like tissue, so it is called inflammatory necrotic pseudotumor. The long-term compression of the tumor on the surrounding tissues, especially the bones on the inner wall, can cause bone destruction and absorption. The inflammatory necrotic tissue can stimulate the local area and cause bleeding.

The most direct causes of suffocation caused by frequent nosebleeds are aspiration of blood, blockage of blood clots in the hypopharynx, and blood staining on the surface of the laryngeal and hypopharyngeal mucosa. The elderly, weak, comatose or patients with anesthesia of the throat mucosa are more likely to suffocate when suffering from nosebleeds.

Frequent nosebleeds can cause myocardial infarction, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral hemorrhage, pneumonia and sepsis, small intestinal infarction, osteosarcoma, cirrhosis, amyloid degeneration and blood aspiration, leading to death.

Children who often have nosebleeds are prone to anemia. Insufficient blood supply to the brain leads to memory loss, decreased vision, low immunity, lack of concentration, and poor academic performance. Excessive nosebleeds lead to greater nutrient loss, which is most evident in short stature during adolescence between the ages of 12 and 16.

We mentioned above that many people think that nosebleeds are caused by heat, so they don’t take it seriously enough. In fact, nosebleeds are very harmful to our body, so we must do a good job in preventing and treating nosebleeds. The above article introduces the dangers of nosebleeds in detail. I hope everyone will pay attention to the symptom of nosebleeds.
