Treatment methods for male hernia, the following methods can help you get rid of hernia

Anyone can get hernia. Adult hernia is more common in men, and men over 50 years old are a high-risk group. There are many causes of hernia, such as lifting heavy objects, straining when defecating or urinating, or coughing violently. So how should men with hernias be treated?

1. Conservative treatment

1: Conservative treatments include hernia belts, hernia supports, traditional Chinese medicine, etc. These methods can relieve symptoms or delay the progression of the disease, but they cannot cure it. Some improper conservative treatments may even aggravate the condition. This method is only suitable for infants under 2 years old, the elderly and weak, or those with serious illnesses. A special hernia belt is often used to press on the hernia ring to relieve symptoms.

2. Surgical treatment

1: Surgery is the only reliable method for treating inguinal hernia in adults and is less likely to recur. Reducible hernias can be treated with elective surgery, while irreducible hernias should be treated with surgery within a short period of time. Incarcerated hernias and strangulated hernias must be treated with emergency surgery to avoid serious consequences. Surgical treatment is divided into traditional tissue-to-tissue tension suture repair and tension-free hernia repair technology. Currently, the internationally recognized one is the tension-free hernia repair technology, which includes open and laparoscopic procedures.

2: (1) Traditional surgery patients fast before and after surgery, have to stay in bed for several days, receive intravenous drips, and have a urinary catheter placed. Patients experience severe pain after surgery, slow recovery, and a high recurrence rate. Many patients with coexisting heart, lung, and cerebrovascular diseases cannot undergo surgery because they cannot tolerate general or local anesthesia.

3: Open tension-free hernia repair quickly became popular after being introduced from abroad. The operation can be performed under local anesthesia, with a low recurrence rate and little pain. Generally, only 2 to 5 days of hospitalization are required, and the operation can even be completed on an outpatient basis, with a quick recovery after surgery.

4: (2) Laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair In recent years, laparoscopic surgery has made significant progress. Laparoscopic total extraperitoneal repair (TEP for short) only requires two 0.5cm and one 1cm incisions without entering the abdominal cavity. The hernia sac is pulled back into the abdominal cavity outside the peritoneum, and then an artificial mesh is used to cover the gap of the hernia protrusion. This method is suitable for the treatment of bilateral inguinal hernia and recurrent hernia, and has small trauma, fast recovery and low recurrence rate.

Three: Diet therapy

1: Eggplant has many functions such as astringent and hemostatic, spleen-strengthening and leukorrhea-stopping. People use 50 grams of eggplant, boil it in water to extract the juice, and drink it warm before meals, twice a day. It has the effect of astringing and strengthening mild hernia, and can improve the discomfort caused by hernia. You can also eat eggplant cold, stir-fry, or deep-fry it according to your taste, all of which are effective for hernia.

2: Pomelo seeds Pomelo seeds have the effect of regulating qi, relieving fullness, drying up dampness and resolving phlegm. Boil 30 grams of grapefruit seeds in water and take it twice a day for 1 month. You can also take 10 grams of grapefruit peel, boil it into a soup and drink it twice a day. Both methods are effective in relieving hernia pain.

Four: Hernia is a common disease.

Part of the human body tissue or organ leaves its original location and enters another part through gaps, defects or weak parts of the human body. If a hernia occurs, it should be treated early to avoid clamping of the contents of the hernia sac, which would increase the difficulty of surgery.
