Causes of elevated apolipoprotein B

Causes of elevated apolipoprotein B

The reason for high apolipoprotein B may be the occurrence of atherosclerosis or coronary heart disease. If the patient has diabetes, it may also increase the low-density cholesterol in the blood, thus inducing high apolipoprotein B.

1. Atherosclerosis: Atherosclerosis is a slowly progressive disease. Patients usually have symptoms of dyslipidemia and hypertension, which also include genetic factors. When the disease worsens, the blood vessels will gradually become narrow. It is generally necessary to go to the hospital in time for blood tests and coronary artery CT angiography, etc. There will usually be symptoms of high apolipoprotein B.

2. Coronary heart disease: Patients with coronary heart disease usually have heart disease caused by coronary artery stenosis or coronary artery occlusion. They need to go to the hospital for a blood test in time, mainly to determine the levels of cholesterol, blood sugar, and triglycerides. It has a certain relationship with the increase in the amount of cholesterol, which leads to high apolipoprotein B in the blood.

3. Diabetes: High apolipoprotein B may also be a sign of diabetes. The patient's blood glucose level will slowly increase, and the glucose in the blood usually cannot be effectively utilized. The body's insulin secretion will also be insufficient, which often induces cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. High apolipoprotein B may also be found during examinations.

Apolipoprotein is an important component of low-density lipoprotein. When it is too high, low-density lipoprotein will usually be in a high state. It has a lot to do with the reduction in volume and increase in quantity of cholesterol in the body. When it enters the blood vessels, there will be symptoms of accumulation, thus affecting the normal circulation of blood.
