From a biomechanical point of view, the L4-L5 and L5-S1 intervertebral discs are subject to the greatest pressure and have the greatest range of motion, while the posterior longitudinal ligaments located in these two segments are relatively narrow. 5. Eat a balanced diet with high protein and vitamin content and low fat and cholesterol, prevent obesity, quit smoking and control alcohol consumption.

6. Pay attention to the combination of work and rest at work, maintain correct posture, avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time, and do warm-up exercises before strenuous exercise.

7. When resting in bed, it is advisable to choose a hard bed to maintain the physiological curvature of the spine.

8. Avoid the cold and keep warm.
