Flat feet are manifested by pain on the inner edge of the foot or heel, fatigue when walking long distances, etc. The cause may be muscle spasms or abnormal bone structure. So what are the dangers of flat feet?

1. Unable to walk or exercise for a long time

If you walk for a long time or exercise excessively, it is easy to cause overuse and inflammation of the soft tissue of the foot, and improper force on the joints causing pain.

2. It can cause a variety of diseases

Flat feet often lead to symptoms such as plantar fasciitis, pain in the sole of the foot, Achilles tendinitis, patellar tendinitis, hip tendinitis, hallux valgus, Achilles tendinitis, low back pain and even neck pain.

3. It is easy to cause heel injuries

Because people with flat feet walk in an inward-turned-feet position with their toes facing outward, the outer side of the heel and the inner side of the sole are easily worn out, causing heel injuries.

4. It may affect the normal development of the spine

This is because flat feet lack arch support, the navicular bone collapses, the plantar ligaments stretch, and the uneven pressure causes the heel to rotate inward when walking, affecting the heel, calf and knee. Because the ligaments on both sides of the joint are subject to different tensions, the knees bend inward, resulting in functional short legs, which further affects the pelvis, causing the thigh and pelvic frame to tilt and rotate, causing the pelvis or coccyx to move downward, forming scoliosis, and leading to oblique shoulders.
