Blood in stool in the morning

Blood in stool in the morning

Many people have the habit of defecating in the morning. Especially in the morning, we drink a glass of honey water after getting up, which is good for the body. In summer, because the weather is hot, some people with good health are prone to getting angry. After getting angry, it is very easy to cause dry stools, which can cause anal fissure bleeding. So how to treat bloody stools in the morning?

Blood in the stool is a special symptom of bleeding in the lower gastrointestinal tract, especially the colon, rectum and anus. It indicates that there are organic lesions in the intestines. It must be taken very seriously, diagnosed and treated in a timely manner. The following diseases should be considered when blood is present in the stool:

(1) Anal diseases

Bright red blood and no pain are mostly seen in internal hemorrhoids. Stage I hemorrhoids are characterized by blood in the stool, which is often caused by stool rubbing the hemorrhoids and bleeding. The blood may drip continuously, or be a line like an arrow, or only be on the toilet paper. Stage II hemorrhoids do not bleed much or at all in the stool, and often prolapse outside the anus.

Anal fissure with blood in the stool is often accompanied by anal pain and typical cyclical pain after defecation.

③The main symptoms of anal canal cancer are blood in the stool and pain, which worsens before defecation.

(2) Rectal diseases

①The main symptom of rectal polyps is blood in the stool, which is intermittent, bright red in color, and generally not in large amounts. This disease is common in children.

②The main manifestations of rectal cancer are increased frequency of bowel movements, thinner stools with mucus and blood, accompanied by tenesmus or a feeling of incomplete defecation. In the early stages, blood in the stool is bright red or dark red, and the amount is not large. In the late stages, there is often foul-smelling mucus in the stool and weight loss, so it should be taken seriously.

③Radiation proctitis may also cause blood in the stool, but there should be a history of radiation therapy.

(3) Colon disease

Colon polyps: a. Juvenile colon polyposis, the average age of onset is 6 years old, there is no family history, the main manifestation is blood in the stool, often accompanied by malnutrition, anemia, hypoproteinemia and growth retardation, and often accompanied by congenital malformations, such as intestinal malrotation, umbilical hernia and cerebral edema; b. Familial juvenile colon polyposis: there is a family history, the symptoms are common features of blood in the stool, rectal prolapse and growth retardation;

c. Cronkite-Canda syndrome (CCS): It is a syndrome of hamartomatous polyposis that occurs in adults. The patient presents with bloody stools, diarrhea, large stool volume, and fat content, as well as abdominal pain, anorexia, fatigue, vomiting, loss of libido and taste. There are almost always nail changes, hair loss, and hyperpigmentation.

②Colon cancer: It is common in the left half of the colon. Most patients have stubborn constipation and may also have increased frequency of bowel movements. When the tumor ruptures, the surface of the stool may be stained with blood or mucus, or even pus may be discharged.

(4) Chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis and bacillary dysentery: Both can cause blood in the stool, which is often discharged together with mucus or pus, accompanied by abdominal pain.

(5) Amebic dysentery: The main symptom is blood in the stool. The stool is maroon in color, contains a lot of mucus, and has a foul odor.

(6) Hemorrhagic Escherichia coli enteritis: It presents with acute onset, accompanied by fever, diarrhea, and a history of eating rotten meat. It often presents as food poisoning.
