Herpes is a very common skin disease in life. There are many types of herpes. The severity of the disease varies depending on the pathological causes. So what types of viral herpes are there in life? 1. Herpes simplex Traditional Chinese medicine calls it "heat sores", which are prone to occur at the junction of the skin and mucous membrane, especially at the corners of the mouth, lips, and around the nostrils. It is characterized by clusters of small blisters on the basis of erythema, mostly in a cluster; the blister fluid is transparent at first and then turbid, and after being scratched, it becomes eroded, oozing, and scabby, and may also be secondarily infected. The course of the disease is about 1-2 weeks, and it may relapse at the original site after recovery. 2. Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease It mostly occurs in preschool children, especially one or two year old infants. The blisters are as big as sesame seeds, the blister fluid is pearly white and surrounded by a red halo. It mainly occurs on the flexor surfaces, lateral edges, and soles of the palms and feet of the fingers (toes); small blisters on the oral mucosa and tongue are prone to rupture and form ulcers, causing conscious pain and affecting eating, and infants and young children often drool. The entire course of the disease is about one week and recurrence is rare. 3. Herpes zoster First there is local skin tingling for 1-5 days, and then multiple clusters of small blisters appear on the face, chest, back, waist and abdomen. Their distribution is limited to one side of the body, arranged in a belt-like shape, and the pain is often severe. After a week, the blisters begin to dry up and form scabs, and then fall off and heal, which usually takes 2-3 weeks. Elderly people may suffer from postherpetic neuralgia. After recovery, you will have permanent immunity, so the disease will not recur. 4. Chickenpox It is more common in children under 10 years old. The blisters are as big as mung beans and are mainly distributed on the head, face, trunk, and proximal limbs. The blisters are clear at first like water droplets on a lotus leaf, but then become turbid. The blister walls are thin and easy to break, and there is often itching. After 2-3 days, the blisters gradually disappear. |
