Benefits of foot massage? Foot acupuncture points diagram and massage methods

The soles of the feet are one of the reflex areas of our body. The entire body has reflex zones on the feet, and regular foot massage can help you understand which parts of the body are experiencing discomfort. It is said that if the blockage is unobstructed there will be no pain, and if there is pain there is blockage. Foot massage actually has great benefits, so what are the methods of foot massage?

Our feet are closely connected to our internal organs and other organs. The meridians are what connect their functions and become the channels of the human organism. Acupoint therapy originated from ancient Chinese medical techniques and has a history of thousands of years. Due to its convenient treatment and significant efficacy, it has attracted worldwide attention.

In traditional Chinese medicine theory, the human body has 14 meridians (commonly known as main channels), with a total of 365 acupuncture points, the same as the number of days in a year, symbolizing the basic theory of Chinese culture of "harmony between man and nature". As for the new acupoints discovered through experiments and proofs in later generations, there are more than 4,000 of them so far, which can be said to be an extremely complete set of practical medicine. The functions of the five internal organs of the human body, namely the liver, heart, spleen, lungs, and kidneys, and the six external organs, namely the gallbladder, small intestine, stomach, large intestine, bladder, and triple burner, as well as their mutual relationships are analyzed and summarized into the theory of internal organs. The five internal organs and six external organs are connected by meridians. Together with the hand Jueyin pericardium meridian and the Ren and Du meridians, there are fourteen meridians in total. Meridians are the conduction pathways of "functions", therefore, they are spread throughout the body and affect the entire human body, from the inside out, from head to toe.

Foot acupoint massage method

Method: Purchase a map of foot acupoints. Soak in a basin of hot water with the water temperature at around 60℃. Soak your feet in hot water for 5-10 minutes and then dry them with a towel. Find the reflex areas of the stomach, thyroid, lymph glands and lungs from the acupuncture point map on the soles of the feet, press each area for 1-2 minutes, 3 times for each foot.

Massaging the thyroid gland and other reflex areas mentioned above is a very effective way to burn fat, because the main function of the thyroid gland is to treat symptoms such as obesity and emotional instability; massaging the stomach can reduce appetite; reflex areas such as the lymph glands and lungs help increase immunity and detoxification function.

After doing this for a week, your body will feel lighter than before and your skin will become beautiful and shiny because the body's overall circulation has improved.

1. If you want to beautify yourself, rub the lungs (both left and right) and the transverse colon, descending colon - sigmoid colon. Massage each part for 5 minutes, which has the effect of detoxification!

2. If you have high blood pressure, heart disease, etc., massage the inner joints and heart area under the thumb to dredge blood vessels.

3. If you have frequent headaches, colds, etc., massage the inner sides of your thumbs to increase oxygen supply to the brain.

4. If you have cervical vertebrae, dorsal vertebrae, lumbar vertebrae, or coccyx diseases, rub and press the outer side of the thumb to the arch of the foot. Note that it is not the instep or the sole of the foot, but the inner side of the foot! It has the effect of unblocking the meridians.

5. If you are prone to motion sickness, massage the area 1 cm below the base of your ring finger and little finger;

6. If a child is anorexic or an adult has a poor appetite, massage the stomach area as shown in the picture; this can increase gastric juice secretion.

7. If your shoulders hurt after sleeping, massage the outside of the root of your ring finger and expand the range appropriately;

8. If your kidneys are not in good condition, press them, but don’t press too hard, otherwise you will hurt your internal organs!
