What should I do if my lymph nodes in my neck are swollen due to inflammation?

As the saying goes, anger is harmful to the body. If you are often angry in life, it will affect your physical health. Especially for people who are in a bad mood for a long time, it may cause the body to get inflamed. If you cannot clear the heat in time after getting a fever, it will induce other diseases, such as swollen lymph nodes, which is quite common. So, what should you do if you have swollen lymph nodes in your neck due to inflammation?

Cervical lymphadenitis often occurs, most of which is caused by infection of surrounding organs leading to infection and inflammation of lymphatic vessels.

Clinical manifestations

1. Systemic symptoms

Acute lymphadenitis is often accompanied by chills, fever, fatigue, general malaise and loss of appetite.

2. Symptoms of primary infection lesions

There may be sore throat, pain in swallowing, sore throat, cough, toothache, etc.

3. Local symptoms

Unilateral or bilateral cervical lymph nodes are enlarged, may be tender, have a medium texture, a smooth surface, and are movable. The number and size of swollen lymph nodes vary, mostly ranging from the size of a bean to a thumb. Acute lymphadenitis often causes local redness, swelling, fever and pain. The symptoms of acute attacks of chronic lymphadenitis are the same as those of acute lymphadenitis. After anti-infection treatment, the lymph nodes shrank, but they were still palpable, movable, and painless.

examine

The white blood cell count was neutrophilic. Ultrasound examination of the neck helps to understand the location, size, number and relationship of the lymph nodes with surrounding tissues.

diagnosis

The lymph nodes in the neck are swollen and tender, the organs in the lymphatic drainage area are acutely inflamed, and the whole body may have symptoms such as chills and fever. The diagnosis can be made in combination with laboratory tests.

Differential Diagnosis

This disease should be differentiated from cervical lymph node tuberculosis, malignant lymphoma, and metastatic malignant tumors. Lymph node puncture or excisional biopsy was performed when necessary.

treat

Treat primary infection lesions, fight infection, strengthen nutrition, enhance body resistance, etc.
