Heart failure often manifests itself in a variety of symptoms. The symptoms of heart failure will vary in different stages. The patient's heart function will gradually decline. When doing some light physical labor, they will feel palpitations and shortness of breath. When sleeping at night, they always hope that the electrons on the side of the head can be raised. In addition, the diet is often poor, which often leads to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and constipation. There are three degrees of heart failure: Grade I: The heart reserve capacity is normal, general physical activities are not restricted, there are no symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, palpitations, dyspnea and angina pectoris, and there are no signs of heart failure. It is usually called the compensatory stage of cardiac function. Grade II: The cardiac reserve capacity is slightly reduced, physical activity is slightly restricted, and there are no symptoms when resting. However, during moderate physical activity, such as walking 500-1000 meters at a normal speed or climbing 3-4 floors, symptoms such as fatigue, palpitations, dyspnea, angina pectoris and signs of heart failure, such as increased heart rate and enlarged liver, occur. Also known as grade I or mild heart failure. Grade III: The cardiac reserve capacity is moderately reduced, physical activity is significantly limited, and there are no symptoms when resting. However, symptoms such as palpitations, dyspnea, or angina pectoris and signs of heart failure such as hepatomegaly and edema occur with slight physical activity, such as daily housework, walking 500-1000 meters at a normal speed, climbing two floors, etc. Symptoms improve with bed rest, but they do not disappear completely. Also known as grade II or moderate heart failure. Grade IV: The cardiac reserve capacity is severely reduced, and the patient is unable to carry out any physical activity. Even at rest, the patient still experiences fatigue, palpitations, dyspnea, angina pectoris, and obvious signs of heart failure. Also known as grade III or severe heart failure. Early symptoms of heart failure: During general physical activities, patients feel tired and weak limbs, which can be alleviated or eliminated after rest. When doing slightly strenuous activities, such as walking a little faster or going up the stairs a little faster, you will experience difficulty breathing and need to stop and rest for a while before continuing. Fatigue, weakness, drowsiness, irritability, feeling of difficulty breathing, labored breathing, shortness of breath, increased breath rate, flaring of nostrils, etc. These manifestations indicate early symptoms of left heart failure. |
