Causes of menopause in girls

Women who have a normal sex life may become pregnant, and their menstruation will stop after pregnancy. However, young girls who do not have a sex life may also experience menopause, which makes many people worried. The reasons for amenorrhea in girls are related to many factors. On the one hand, diseases should be considered. For example, severe malnutrition can cause anemia, which will stop menstruation. In addition, endocrine disorders can also cause amenorrhea.

disease. Mainly including wasting diseases such as severe pulmonary tuberculosis, severe anemia, malnutrition, specific endocrine diseases such as obesity, reproductive impotence and malnutrition; random effects of some endocrine systems of the body, such as adrenal glands, pancreas, close functional disorders.

The impact of these reasons may be the absence of menstrual cycles. However, as long as the diseases that cause amenorrhea are cured, the menstrual cycle will become a natural period.

Hereditary. The age of menopause of the mother or elder sister can be used as a reference for daughters and younger sisters, but it is not absolute.

Marriage and childbearing. Married women have later menopause than unmarried women; women with strong fertility, many pregnancies, and long breastfeeding periods have delayed menopause because pregnancy and breastfeeding can temporarily suppress ovulation, thus relatively prolonging women's life and ovulation time.

Living standards and nutritional status. Generally speaking, women with low living standards and long-term malnutrition enter menopause earlier, while women with good quality of life enter menopause later.

Atresia of the lower genital tract. If the cervix, vagina, hymen, part of the labia minora, congenital atresia, or adhesion atresia caused by acquired injury, there will certainly be menstrual blood in the menstrual cycle, but no leakage. This condition is called cryptic or pseudoamenorrhea. Lower genital tract atresia can be completely cured after treatment.

Incomplete or maldeveloped reproductive organs. Some people are born without ovaries, or their ovaries are underdeveloped, or their ovaries are damaged and cannot produce estrogen and progesterone. The endometrium will undergo cyclical changes and there will be no endometrial shedding, so there is no menstruation. There are also some people who are born without a uterus, or whose endometrium is underdeveloped, or whose endometrium is damaged. Even if their ovaries are functioning well and their estrogen and progesterone secretions are normal, they will not have a menstrual cycle.

Smoking and drinking. Benzopyrene in tobacco is a lethal factor to oocytes. Studies have shown that women who smoke enter menopause an average of 5 years earlier than non-smoking women. Although alcohol can directly damage the gonads, leading to ovarian atrophy and early menopause.
