Radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation is effective

Atrial fibrillation is a very common type of arrhythmia. Men are more likely to develop atrial fibrillation, and it is also a disease that is very harmful to our health. Severe cases can cause heart failure and require timely treatment. Currently, radiofrequency ablation can effectively cure atrial fibrillation.

1. In China, atrial fibrillation has become a disease that seriously threatens people's health . At present, there are about 10 million patients with atrial fibrillation in mainland China, among which paroxysmal and lone atrial fibrillation account for more than 1/3. That is to say, there are more than 3 million patients with paroxysmal and lone atrial fibrillation in my country. These patients suffer from severe symptoms such as palpitations and chest tightness during atrial fibrillation attacks, and face the risk of intra-atrial thrombosis and stroke. Moreover, with the passage of time, the frequency of atrial fibrillation attacks will gradually increase, and each attack will last longer and longer, resulting in reduced heart function, increased stroke rate and a significant decline in quality of life. Therefore, the treatment of atrial fibrillation is currently a research focus in the field of cardiovascular disease worldwide.

2. Radiofrequency ablation to cure arrhythmia

Radiofrequency ablation therapy device for the heart. Radiofrequency ablation via cardiac catheter is a method of treating arrhythmias by introducing radiofrequency current (a high-frequency electromagnetic wave) into the heart through a cardiac catheter to ablate local myocardial cells in specific areas to break the reentrant circuit or eliminate abnormal lesions. It is a method that can achieve a radical cure for arrhythmias. Catheter radiofrequency ablation for the radical treatment of tachyarrhythmias was invented in the mid-1980s. my country introduced this technology in the early 1990s. Currently, this technology has been used in major hospitals across the country, and tens of thousands of surgeries have been completed. Thousands of patients who were once suffering from tachycardia have completely gotten rid of the disease and resumed normal life, study and work.

3. The treatment process of radiofrequency ablation

Under local anesthesia, 3 to 4 electrode catheters are delivered through the femoral vein and subclavian vein into the coronary sinus, high right atrium and His bundle, right ventricle and other parts to stimulate the atrium and ventricle to induce tachycardia consistent with the clinical situation, locate the origin of the tachycardia, and then deliver the electrode catheter for ablation to the located origin and connect it to the external radiofrequency generator. After discharge, the electrophysiological examination was repeated. If tachycardia could not be induced and there was no seizure during clinical follow-up, the ablation was successful.
