What are the symptoms of aplastic anemia?

Aplastic anemia is a common clinical disease. It is a bone marrow hematopoietic dysfunction. The most typical symptom of aplastic anemia is anemia. At the same time, aplastic anemia may develop into other types and aggravate the condition. Therefore, the treatment of aplastic anemia must be timely.

1. Dizziness and fatigue

This is the most common symptom of aplastic anemia. Patients with anemia tendency often show symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, and chest tightness. The symptoms improved after blood transfusion, but the effect did not last long.

2. Bleeding

The main bleeding is skin bleeding, often seen in the skin and mucous membranes. Once the condition worsens, even internal bleeding may occur. Late-stage patients who have not been effectively treated may suffer from cerebral hemorrhage. At this time, the patient may experience severe headache and vomiting. This is one of the common symptoms of aplastic anemia.

3. Susceptible to infection

Generally, it mainly refers to the transformation of a mild cold into severe high fever symptoms. It is a symptom of aplastic anemia that affects the immune system. The patient's body temperature can reach over 38 degrees until death occurs. It can be seen that it is very serious and very harmful.

4. Severe aplastic anemia

Most patients have an acute onset of disease. Anemia may not be obvious in the early stage of the disease, but it progressively worsens and infection and bleeding are obvious. Fever and infection: initially, the disease is related to the decrease of pink cells; later, it is related to the long-term use of immunosuppressants. Common infection sites include oral mucosa, respiratory tract, skin, perianal infection, and even sepsis and septic shock. In very severe aplastic anemia, because the neutrophil count is often less than 0.2×109/L, infection is difficult to control. Because the platelet count is often less than 20×109/L, there are skin bleeding spots, gingival bleeding, and nose bleeding. In severe cases, there are multiple internal bleeding, including vomiting blood, blood in the stool, hemoptysis, hematuria, increased menstruation, and even cerebral hemorrhage. In some patients, platelet transfusion is difficult to increase the platelet count.
