Chinese medicine for menopause

Women will have their periods at a certain age, and the regular menstrual cycle is about five to seven days, and it comes every month. However, some women have irregular periods and experience menopause. This situation must be treated in time, otherwise it will lead to infertility. The dosage of Chinese medicine must be strictly controlled in Chinese medicine conditioning. You cannot take too much or too little, and you must control the time when cooking Chinese medicine. Let's follow the editor to learn about the Chinese medicine conditioning methods for menopause.

1. Dosage of Chinese medicine

The dosage of Chinese medicine refers to the amount used in clinical practice. It mainly indicates the daily dosage of each medicine for adults. The vast majority of Chinese medicines are derived from crude drugs, and the safe dosage range is relatively large. The dosage is not as strict as that of chemical drugs. However, whether the dosage is appropriate or not is also one of the important factors that directly affects the efficacy of the medicine and the clinical effect. If the dosage is too small, it will not have a therapeutic effect and will delay the treatment of the disease; if the dosage is too large, it will damage the body's vital energy and may also cause adverse consequences or unnecessary waste.

2. Usage

It mainly refers to the decoction of decoctions and the methods of taking different dosage forms.

(1) Decoction method Decoction is one of the most commonly used dosage forms of traditional Chinese medicine. The preparation of decoctions has certain requirements on cooking utensils, water, heat and cooking methods. Clay pots and earthenware jars are the best utensils for decocting medicines, while enamel pots are second best. Copper and iron pots should be avoided to prevent chemical changes that will affect the efficacy. There are two types of fire for decocting medicine: low heat and high heat. The heat and time of decocting should be determined according to the properties of the ingredients. Due to their different textures, some medicines have special decoction methods, which are indicated on the prescription. There are different decoction methods, such as decocting first, adding later, decocting wrapped, decocting separately, dissolving, soaking, taking with water, and decocting in water.

(2) Medication method

The decoction is usually taken once a day, decocted in two doses, with an interval of about 4 to 6 hours between the two doses. Method of taking the medicine: Decoctions should generally be taken warm. Pills with smaller particles can be taken directly with warm water; large honey pills can be divided into small particles and swallowed; if the water pills are hard, they can be dissolved in boiling water before taking. Powders and dusts can be mixed with honey and taken or put into capsules to avoid irritation to the throat when swallowed directly. Ointments should be taken with boiled water, and should not be poured directly into the mouth and swallowed, so as to prevent them from sticking to the throat and causing vomiting. Granules should be taken with boiled water; syrups can be swallowed directly. In addition, there is also nasal administration.
