Can Pangdahai cure constipation?

Can Pangdahai cure constipation?

Constipation is very uncomfortable, and the feeling of being unable to go up or down is painful. Stool accumulates in the stomach and intestines for a long time to form stool, which will cause weight gain and even abdominal swelling, and even a decrease in appetite. Therefore, constipation must be treated. At this time, everyone will think of using Sterculia lychnophora to treat constipation. Sterculia lychnophora does have a laxative effect, and can also treat the following problems.

Medical health care news:

Plantago ovata, which has the effects of clearing heat and moistening the lungs, relieving sore throat and detoxifying, can also treat the following diseases.

For acute tonsillitis, take 4 to 8 pieces of Sterculia lychnophora, soak them in boiling water, cover and simmer for about half an hour, then drink it slowly. Wait 4 hours, and soak it again in the same way. It will usually heal in 2 to 3 days.

In the early stage of conjunctivitis, take 3 to 4 pieces of light yellow-brown, large and hard Sterculia lychnophora, soak them in cold boiled water and set aside. Then rinse the affected eye with 0.9% saline, and then completely cover the upper and lower eyelids of the affected eye with the foamed Sterculia lychnophora (1 to 2 pieces for each eye), fix with gauze, and do this once a night. It will be cured in 3 to 4 days.

To treat dry cough, aphonia, dry and sore throat, and swollen and painful gums caused by exogenous wind-heat, take 5 pieces of Sterculia lychnophora and 3 grams of licorice, make tea and drink it. The elderly can add a little rock sugar when taking it.

For internal heat and bloody stool, take 3 to 5 pieces of Sterculia lychnophora, put them into a teacup, soak them with boiling water, remove the core, add appropriate amount of rock sugar, mix well, and take it together with the soaked Sterculia lychnophora. This recipe can also treat constipation caused by internal heat, and generally takes effect after one day of consumption.

Please note that Pangdahai is not suitable for long-term consumption. Because it can promote small intestinal motility and produce a mild diarrhea effect, people with poor gastrointestinal function should not take it for a long time. Plantago ovata also has the effect of lowering blood pressure. People with normal or low blood pressure may be at risk of hypotension if they take it for a long time. The liver and kidney functions of the elderly have declined to varying degrees, so they need to be more cautious when taking Sterculia lychnophora.
