Before we prepare to climb a mountain, we should buy special hiking boots instead of a pair of running shoes or business leather shoes; if we are going to the snow, we should choose snow boots with waterproof, breathable and warm uppers and non-slip soles.

3. When to buy shoes?

First, it is best to buy shoes between 3 and 6 p.m., because after a day of walking, the feet will swell slightly at this time. If the size you choose does not feel small at this time, then it will be fine to wear it at other times of the day.

Second, don’t sit down to choose shoes. When buying shoes, it is not only important to consider whether the length and width of the shoes are suitable, but also the size of the internal space of the shoes is also important. After putting on new shoes, be sure to walk, run, and jump around. If the shoes have laces, you should tie the laces tightly before trying them on to see if they squeeze or rub your feet.

Third, don’t try on just one shoe. About 2/3 of people have feet of different sizes, so they have to try on shoes on both feet and finally choose the shoe size according to the larger foot.

Fourth, it is best not to buy new shoes that may rub your feet. Some shoes have thicker trademarks inside, the stitching at the joints is rough, and the leather at the ankle is too hard and inelastic. These injuries will not disappear due to longer wearing time. On the contrary, the longer you wear them, the greater the damage to your feet.

Fifth, don’t buy fake or inferior shoes just to save money. Many people pursue fashion, but are reluctant to spend money on authentic shoes. Little do people know that “you get what you pay for”. In order to reduce costs, fake and inferior shoe manufacturers will only produce shoes that look similar to real shoes. They are unlikely to use the high-quality fabrics used in real shoes, let alone the cutting-edge technologies unique to real shoes. Wearing fake or inferior shoes for a long time may cause irreparable damage to your feet.
