The difference between moles and warts

The difference between moles and warts

The skin is the outermost layer of protection of the human body and the outermost organ that we can see with our naked eyes every day. Sometimes small dark brown spots appear on the surface of the skin. The names of black spots with different appearances are different, and the treatment methods are also different. See the situation clearly before treating it. Generally, such black spots are either moles or warts. So what are the specific differences between moles and warts, and how should they be treated?

The root causes of moles and nevi are different

Moles: Moles are just a kind of benign tumor pigment, which is differentiated from nerve cells. Generally speaking, moles are harmless to humans, but moles growing in special parts such as the palms, soles of feet, lips, etc. require attention. Because these parts are prone to friction, moles may become malignant and develop into malignant melanoma.

Everyone has more or less "moles" on their bodies. The "moles" here mostly refer to blue moles and pigmented moles. Blue nevi are more common in women and often occur in childhood. They are prone to occur on the face and extensor surfaces of the limbs, especially the backs of the hands and feet, as well as the waist and buttocks. They are occasionally seen in the conjunctiva, oral cavity, cervix, etc. Almost everyone has pigmented moles, the only difference is the number. It often occurs in children or adolescence and may appear as macules, papules, warts or nodules and may occur in any part of the body. The color is usually yellow, brown or black, but can also be blue or purple.

Mole: Mole is medically called nevus cell or melanocytic nevus, which is a benign tumor occurring on the skin. A mole is a skin manifestation caused by an increase in melanocytes in the epidermis and dermis. If the rash is raised above the skin surface, has a dome-like or nipple-like appearance, or has a pedicle, it is clinically called an intradermal nevus; those that are slightly raised above the skin surface are mostly mixed nevus; those that are not raised above the skin surface are junctional nevus.

Moles and moles appear at different ages

Moles: People of different ages and genders may get moles.

Mole: Almost everyone has moles on their body. Some moles are present at birth, while others appear within one year after birth. The number of moles gradually increases with age. Generally, it reaches its peak during adolescence, and new moles rarely appear after the age of 20 or 30.

Moles and moles cause different problems

Mole: If the mole has damage around it, is painful, has oozing water, or has satellite lesions around it, it indicates that it has become malignant and it is best to remove it promptly.

Mole: ①Affects beauty. ② Confused with malignant tumors on the body surface. Some tumors on the body surface look like moles, but they are actually malignant tumors. ③Malignant transformation into melanoma.

Warts are professionally called "common warts" (a general term for filiform warts, plantar warts, finger warts, flat warts, and genital warts in the folks). Traditional Chinese medicine calls them "thousand-day warts" and they are commonly known as "thorny warts" and "warts". They are caused by viral infections and can be self-infected through tiny breaks in the skin, thus increasing in number. It often occurs on the face and back of the hands. In the early stage, needle-sized papules appear on normal skin, which gradually develop into soybean-sized or even larger thorn-like protrusions; the boundaries are clear, the surface is rough and dry, and it presents papillary hyperplasia, which is uneven and easy to bleed when forcibly peeled off; the number is uncertain, initially there is only one, and due to itself, it gradually increases to several or even dozens after vaccination, and the normal skin color has a hard texture. This makes treatment difficult and it is difficult to cure it once and for all.
