What to do if you have pain in the left lumbar spine?

Sitting for a long time and doing heavy work may cause pain in the left lumbar region. This is actually a symptom of lumbar muscle strain. If the patient's condition is not very serious, you only need to pay attention to daily life and health care to slowly recover your health. However, many patients do not know what to do to relieve the pain in the left lumbar region, so you need to learn here.

Lumbar muscle strain is actually a chronic damaging inflammation of the lumbar muscles and the fascia or even periosteum of their attachment points, which is a common cause of low back pain. Usually pay attention to:

1. Supine health care method: The patient lies on his back, first support the feet, elbows and head on the bed, straighten the waist, back, buttocks and lower limbs and slightly leave the bed, maintain the state when feeling tired, and then return to a calm supine position to rest. Repeat this method for about 10 minutes, once in the morning and once in the evening.

2. Prone health care method: The patient lies on his stomach with both upper limbs placed behind his back, and then lifts his head, chest and legs forcefully off the bed, making the body arched, and persists until he feels slightly tired. Repeat this exercise for about 10 minutes, once in the morning and once in the evening.

3. Lumbar and back tapping massage health care method: The patient takes a sitting position, first makes an empty fist with the left hand, and then uses the left fist to tap the left side of the waist from top to bottom. After gently tapping for 10 minutes, use your left palm to massage or rub up and down for about 5 minutes, twice a day. Then reverse the movement with your right hand and left hand.

4. Hot compress or physical therapy: You can use a hot water bottle or heat therapy to apply hot compress to the painful area every night. You can also use 1.5 kg of bran, fry it in an iron pan until it is sticky, then add 0.25 kg of vinegar and stir well. Put it into a homemade cloth bag, then place it on the painful area and cover it with a quilt to keep warm for hot compress. You can use far-infrared thermal therapy device or Zhou Lin spectrum analyzer and other physical therapy.

If you are suffering from left lumbar pain due to lumbar muscle strain, follow the above health care methods and your left lumbar pain will definitely be alleviated if you persist. However, patients with more serious conditions may need some physical therapy. Therefore, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital for a detailed diagnosis.
