How many days after ovulation can pregnancy be detected?

To be able to successfully get pregnant after having sex during the ovulation period, we need to check it through early pregnancy test strips or blood tests. If we check too early, we will not be able to detect whether we are pregnant. It is usually 8 to 11 days after having sex, so don't be too anxious and stay in a good mood, which is helpful for the implantation of the fertilized egg. Now let us take a look at how early a pregnancy can be detected after having sex during the ovulation period.

How many days after ovulation can pregnancy be detected?

Conception occurs about 6-8 days after intercourse. Under normal circumstances, it takes 6-8 days for the fertilized egg to implant. About 8-11 days after having sex, you can go to the hospital for a blood hCG test to find out whether you are pregnant.

Generally speaking, a woman can conceive within 15-18 hours after the egg is released from the ovary. The egg can survive for two days after being released, so the chances of getting pregnant during ovulation are higher. The following conditions must be met for a woman to successfully conceive after having sex.

1. Male testicles can produce normal sperm

The amount of semen ejaculated by a normal adult male at one time is 2-6 ml. The number of sperm in each ml of semen should be more than 60 million, more than 60% of the sperm are motile, and the abnormal sperm is less than 15%-20%. If the sperm does not meet the above standards, it will not be easy for the woman to become pregnant.

2. Female ovaries can discharge healthy and mature eggs

For women with normal menstruation, a healthy and mature egg is released in each menstrual cycle, which gives them a chance of pregnancy. It is more difficult for women with ovarian insufficiency or irregular menstruation to conceive.

3. Have normal sex life before and after ovulation

Sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for 1-3 days, and the egg can survive for about 1 day after being released. A woman ovulates about 14 days before the next menstrual period. The possibility of conception is high if you have sex within a few days before and after ovulation.

4. The reproductive tract is unobstructed

The male's vas deferens must be unobstructed so that sperm can be discharged. Similarly, the female reproductive tract must be unobstructed so that the sperm that enters the vagina during intercourse can smoothly reach the fallopian tube to meet the egg for fertilization.

5. The intrauterine environment is suitable for the implantation and development of the fertilized egg

After the egg is fertilized, it moves toward the uterus while developing, reaches the uterine cavity after 3-4 days, is buried in the nutrient-rich endometrium after 6-8 days, and then continues to develop into a fetus. The development of the fertilized egg and the growth of the endometrium are carried out simultaneously. If the fertilized egg enters the uterine cavity early or late, the endometrium at this time is not suitable for the implantation and continued development of the fertilized egg, and pregnancy is impossible.
