How to treat coronary atherosclerosis

When it comes to coronary atherosclerosis, many people may not understand what kind of disease it is. Coronary atherosclerosis also has another name, "coronary heart disease". Coronary heart disease is a serious disease caused by emotional excitement, increased physical activity and other reasons. Coronary heart disease can be divided into stable coronary heart disease and acute coronary heart disease in medicine. How to treat coronary heart disease has become a concern of people.

The risk factors for coronary heart disease that can be modified include: high blood sugar, high blood lipids, overweight and other factors. Unhealthy lifestyles such as excessive drinking, smoking, and lack of a good work and rest schedule can induce the occurrence of coronary heart disease. Therefore, a healthy and reasonable life is the key to treating coronary heart disease.

1. Medication

Nitrate drugs: This type of drugs mainly include: nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate (nitroglycerin), 5-isosorbide mononitrate, long-acting nitroglycerin preparations (nitroglycerin ointment or adhesive plaster patch), etc. Nitrates are routinely used in patients with stable angina. When angina pectoris occurs, you can take nitroglycerin sublingually or use nitroglycerin aerosol. For patients with acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina, the medication can be stopped after the pain symptoms completely disappear.

2. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)

Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) uses a specially designed balloon catheter to be delivered to the narrowed coronary artery through a peripheral artery (femoral artery or radial artery). The inflated balloon can expand the narrowed lumen and improve blood flow, and a stent can be placed in the expanded narrow area to prevent restenosis. It can also be combined with thrombus aspiration and rotational atherectomy. It is suitable for patients with stable angina pectoris, unstable angina pectoris and myocardial infarction that are poorly controlled by drugs.

Good treatment methods plus a positive and optimistic attitude towards life are the key to curing all diseases, especially coronary heart disease. You should exercise more and strengthen your physical fitness in life to ensure your health. The above methods are the most effective for treating coronary heart disease. I hope they can bring you hope and I wish you a speedy recovery.
