Is traditional Chinese medicine or western medicine better for heart disease?

Heart disease is a relatively serious disease that cannot be completely cured at present. Patients need to take good care of themselves in daily life to reduce the chance of heart disease. Heart disease can be treated with both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. Most people choose Western medicine because it is faster. However, in the later stages of care, it is best to choose traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, patients with heart disease should receive treatment according to the doctor's advice.

In fact, the current research on heart disease is still mainly based on Western medicine, that is to say, most of the treatment is through Western medicine methods. Of course, many Chinese patent medicines also have many benefits for the treatment of heart disease. Take coronary heart disease as an example. If the symptoms of coronary heart disease are not too severe, and the vascular stenosis is not serious through coronary angiography, then in this case, conservative treatment with drugs is mainly chosen.

For conservative treatment, Western medicine mainly uses anti-platelet aggregation, statins to regulate lipids, and coronary dilation to improve myocardial blood supply and reverse ventricular remodeling. For Chinese medicine, blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing drugs such as Compound Danxin Drops, Guanxin Danshen Drops, Ginkgo Leaf Pills, Ginkgo Ketone Ester Drops, and Ginkgo Honey Ring Oral Liquid are all good and can activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis.

The other case is when the coronary heart disease is more serious, that is, the coronary artery stenosis is more severe. In this case, relying solely on Chinese medicine will definitely not work, and relying solely on oral Western medicine will not solve the problem either. At this time, intracoronary stent implantation is needed, and in more serious cases, coronary artery bypass grafting may be required.
