Foot eversion massage treatment and dietary recommendations

Foot eversion massage treatment and dietary recommendations

There are many treatments for hallux valgus at present, among which surgery, plaster and other rigid correction methods are the main ones, but this method is usually used for babies with more serious hallux valgus problems. For babies with milder symptoms or younger babies, doctors may recommend massage and other techniques to promote the unblocking of meridians and help the baby naturally correct the bones of his feet. The effect is also very ideal.

1. Foot eversion massage technique

Hold the child's calf with one hand and the forefoot of the affected foot with the other hand, and gradually, slowly and continuously apply force inward and downward. Be careful not to cause pain or harm to your child. The premise of this technique is that your "diagnosis" and description are correct (foot valgus), otherwise it will have the opposite effect. Please refer to the above opinions. If you can't determine it yourself, go to the hospital as soon as possible. If you want a massage, the hospital has a rehabilitation department and you can find a professional to do it.

2. Nursing methods for hallux valgus

1. Correct hallux valgus scientifically by using a professional hallux valgus corrector to apply correct pressure to the big toe to keep it in its normal physiological position. Static correction of hallux valgus is most effective. It is recommended that you wear the corrector for static correction when you sleep at night, and use toe pads when wearing shoes during the day to assist in correction. You should persist in the correction day and night. There is an adaptation period at the beginning of correction. It is recommended to do it 3-5 hours a day. After adaptation, gradually increase the intensity of correction as the correction progresses. Correct for about 8 hours a day. The effect will be more obvious in 3-5 months. The longer the correction, the better the effect.

3. Dietary precautions for hallux valgus

1. Eat more high-protein foods. Patients with hallux valgus need to supplement rich nutrition, especially protein. They can usually consume milk, eggs, soy milk and meat.

2. Eat more foods containing carbohydrates. The staple food of patients with hallux valgus should mainly be rice, pasta, porridge and other foods rich in carbohydrates, so as to avoid hindering nutrient absorption due to too many mixed foods.

3. Eat more foods rich in vitamins. In your daily diet, try to eat more foods rich in vitamins such as vegetables and fruits, and try to avoid eating high-fat foods.
