Connective tissue external hemorrhoids symptoms

Connective tissue external hemorrhoids symptoms

Connective tissue external hemorrhoids are also a type of hemorrhoids, and people generally call them skin hemorrhoids. There are many causes of connective tissue external hemorrhoids. For example, if you have constipation, the overly dry stool during defecation can easily damage the skin around the anus. If you are constipated for a long time, you are likely to develop connective tissue external hemorrhoids over time. The causes of connective tissue external hemorrhoids are also related to some anal diseases. For example, proctitis and other diseases can easily cause connective tissue external hemorrhoids.

After understanding the cause of connective tissue external hemorrhoids, many patients want to know its symptoms. Since it is also a type of hemorrhoids, it is often confused with other diseases. It is even easier for people who do not understand the symptoms to be confused, thus delaying treatment. Well today I will tell you about the symptoms of connective tissue external hemorrhoids.

Connective tissue external hemorrhoids are soft skin tags that grow, enlarge, thicken, and vary in shape and size due to the proliferation of skin folds at the anal margin. They are called "lotus hemorrhoids", "clam meat hemorrhoids", and "overlapping hemorrhoids" in traditional Chinese medicine. They are also called skin tag external hemorrhoids clinically. If it is connective tissue external hemorrhoids caused by anal fissure, it is also called "sentinel hemorrhoids" or "sentinel hemorrhoids".

Most of them are caused by repeated stimulation of chronic inflammation, which causes hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the connective tissue in the anal skin folds, such as anal lacerations and external invasion of toxins, and often occur at 6 or 12 o'clock in the lithotomy position.

If the third-stage internal hemorrhoids repeatedly prolapse, the skin of the anal canal becomes loose and lacks elasticity, forming skin tags and external hemorrhoids, which often occur at 3, 7, and 11 o'clock in the lithotomy position.

Anal edema and the annular external hemorrhoids that form after the edema subsides are more common in multiparous women.

Connective tissue external hemorrhoids generally manifest as the gradual enlargement of the skin flap at the edge of the anus, which is soft when pressed. Generally, there are no obvious symptoms and no pain, only a foreign body sensation in the anus. Some patients often complain that the anus is difficult to wipe clean after defecation. Because there is often a small amount of fecal residue or secretions accumulated in the skin folds of the anus, it stimulates the anus and causes itching and dampness. Friction and infection often cause skin tags to swell and ache, turning them into inflammatory external hemorrhoids.

Connective tissue external hemorrhoids do not cause inflammation. The patient only feels a foreign body sensation in the local area or the anus is difficult to clean after defecation. If there is inflammation, the patient will feel pain and have difficulty sitting, standing, and walking. At the beginning, it is just swollen wrinkles, dark red skin, and epidermal peeling; due to repeated inflammatory stimulation, the skin outside the anus has protrusions, which are soft and yellow in color, often on the midline behind the anus, and sometimes in front of or on both sides of the anus.

The anus is an organ that people need to defecate every day, and people often suffer from diseases related to it. Patients with constipation should adjust their diet in time and eat more easily digestible and watery foods. If the condition is serious, timely treatment is required to avoid connective tissue external hemorrhoids.
