Symptoms of acute nephritis

Symptoms of acute nephritis

The kidneys mainly excrete metabolic products and regulate the balance of electrolytes, acids, alkalis and water. Nephritis is an inflammation of kidney tissue, which causes varying degrees of renal function impairment. The clinical manifestations of the symptoms of acute nephritis are similar to those of other types of diseases. With timely treatment, the condition of acute nephritis can be well controlled, so it is important to know the symptoms of acute nephritis.

As the saying goes, "Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated in a hundred battles." Knowing the symptoms of acute nephritis will help patients receive timely treatment of the disease. Below I will summarize the symptoms of acute nephritis for you. Acute nephritis mainly has the following three symptoms.

First, febrile proteinuria. May occur with any febrile illness. During the fever, protein and tubular casts may be detected in the urine, but there are very few red blood cells, and there is no edema or hypertension. After the fever subsides, the symptoms of acute nephritis recover abnormally quickly.

Second, focal glomerulonephritis. It usually occurs during the infection period (acute nephritis occurs about 2 weeks after infection); focal nephritis is mainly characterized by hematuria and very mild proteinuria; after the infection is cured, the patient's urine test returns to normal and the prognosis is good. Similar to mild acute nephritis, only urine changes occur without edema and hypertension.

Third, abnormal urine during the infection period. When infection is caused by any reason, such as bacteria, viruses, and especially beta-hemolytic streptococcal infection, about 1/3 of patients may have mild microscopic hematuria, a small amount of urine protein and casts, but no edema or hypertension. When the infection is controlled, urine examination returns to normal.

The above are the symptoms of acute nephritis. If you find that you have acute nephritis, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time and do not delay the treatment, otherwise it will cause adverse consequences. Instead of taking medicine to ward off illness, it is better to pay more attention to your health and take good care of your body. The kidneys are very important organs in the human body. I hope everyone can be healthy.
