What are the cupping techniques?

As people in modern society continue to improve their knowledge of health preservation, more and more friends have also realized that when we suffer from some diseases, we can't just rely on Western medicine, but we need to take some more traditional Chinese medicine to better regulate the body. Therefore, cupping has become a favorite method for people. So what are the cupping techniques? In the next time, please join me in the following learning content.

Cupping makes the sick body feel better

Cupping is a therapy that can expel cold and dampness, dredge meridians, remove stagnation, promote qi and blood circulation, reduce swelling and relieve pain, draw out toxins and reduce heat. It has the function of adjusting the body's yin and yang balance, relieving fatigue, and strengthening the physical body, thereby achieving the purpose of strengthening the body and eliminating evil and curing diseases. Therefore, many diseases can be treated with cupping therapy. For example, when people reach middle age, muscle and bone pains are common. According to traditional Chinese medicine, this is mostly due to rheumatism entering the bones. When cupping, the cup mouth is placed over the affected area, which can slowly absorb moisture from the lesion and promote local blood circulation, achieving the purpose of relieving pain and restoring function, thereby treating rheumatism, arthralgia, muscle and bone pain and other discomforts.

Since cupping can promote qi and blood circulation, dispel wind and cold, reduce swelling and relieve pain, it has a certain therapeutic effect on back muscle strain and lumbar disc herniation. Teacher Diao also introduced that cupping can also be used on acupuncture points on the human body to treat headaches, dizziness, swollen eyes, coughs, asthma, abdominal pain and other problems, and multiple cupping cups can be used at the same time.

How to operate at home

Experts remind that since cupping is a professional treatment method, it is certainly not simple. If you cupping yourself at home without thinking twice, it can easily cause danger. There are many unexpected incidents during cupping in life. If you use acupoints randomly, it may sometimes backfire.

First of all, you should pay attention to the selection of materials. Chinese medicine mostly uses bamboo tubes. If you can't find them, glass bottles and ceramic cups will do. But the mouth must be thick and smooth to prevent the mouth of the cupping jar from being too thin and hurting the skin and flesh. The bottom should be wide and semicircular.

Before cupping, the cup should be cleaned and dried first, then the patient should lie down or sit comfortably, exposing the area to be cupped, and then light the fire and insert the cup. When lighting the fire, usually hold the cup with one hand and the lit probe with the other hand. The operation should be quick, shake the burning probe in the cup a few times and then withdraw it, and quickly place the cup on the part to be treated. While the fire is still burning, hold the cup mouth tightly on the affected area. Do not wait for the fire to go out, otherwise it will be too loose and not conducive to absorbing moisture. It is better to feel that the cup mouth is tightly sucked on the body. Be careful not to heat the edge of the jar to avoid burns.

The above paragraphs have introduced some cupping techniques to us. I believe that friends who have read the above content carefully will have a deeper understanding and cognition of this question. Of course, what I want to tell you is that cupping seems simple, but it is actually quite rigorous and complicated to operate. Therefore, we need to understand some correct operating methods before performing this operation.
