Blackness in front of eyes after squatting down

I believe many people have had this experience: when you are squatting and then suddenly stand up, you will feel black in front of your eyes. Most people believe that this condition is hypoglycemia caused by anemia, so most people don't take it too seriously. However, this situation is not entirely caused by hypoglycemia, it may be other more serious diseases. So what are the reasons for blackening in front of the eyes after squatting down?

Because of poor blood circulation, the brain is deprived of oxygen.

If you squat on the ground for a long time and then stand up suddenly, you will often feel dizzy and see stars. This is caused by temporary anemia in the head. When a person squats, there are some special circumstances in the distribution of blood in the body.

First, the two legs are pressed very tightly, the blood vessels are flattened, and relatively less blood reaches the lower limbs; secondly, because the head tilts slightly forward when squatting, relatively more blood goes to the head.

When you stand up suddenly, the blood vessels in your lower limbs are suddenly relieved of pressure, and a considerable amount of blood flows to the lower part of your body. In addition, blood has a certain weight in the body. When you stand up suddenly, the blood will flow to the lower part of the body due to the attraction of gravity and the effect of inertia, and the amount of blood distributed to the upper body will be reduced.

In addition, when you stand up, your head also stands upright, making it more difficult for the heart to spray blood to the head.

All of these result in a relative reduction in blood flow to the head. The human brain is the part that needs blood and oxygen the most. A brief reduction in blood supply can make people feel dizzy due to temporary cerebral anemia. In addition, due to the reduced blood supply to the head, the blood supply to the eyeball is naturally less, which can cause dizziness and spots in the eyes.

Medically speaking, it is called temporary cerebral ischemia. When squatting, the blood pressure in the head is low, which prevents blood from reaching the brain, and the oxygen concentration of red blood cells decreases, causing dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, fatigue, and other symptoms. To put it bluntly, it is lack of oxygen. You will feel dizzy when squatting. People with anemia will experience pale skin and mucous membranes, dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, fatigue, palpitations, shortness of breath, etc.

If not treated in time, the consequences will be serious. Iron-rich foods mainly include liver, kidney, heart, gastrointestinal tract, kelp, seaweed, soybean, spinach, celery, rapeseed, tomato, apricot, jujube, orange, etc. are rich in iron. People also often use longan meat, jujube, and peanut underwear as blood tonic food.

Modern medical research has proved that only divalent iron ions can be absorbed by the human body. In an acidic environment, trivalent iron is easily converted into divalent iron which is easily soluble in water. If the elderly lack stomach acid, the absorption of iron will be hindered. Therefore, in order to promote the absorption of iron, you should also eat some acidic foods, such as tomatoes, sour dates, pickled cucumbers, sauerkraut, etc.

Vitamin C can also promote the absorption and utilization of iron. Therefore, you can eat more foods rich in vitamin C, such as fresh vegetables and fruits.

B vitamins (vitamin B12, folic acid) are necessary substances for the growth and development of red blood cells. They are found in higher concentrations in animal liver and lean meat. Green leafy vegetables also contain folic acid, so you can eat more of them.

Protein is an important raw material for the formation of hemoglobin. Anemia patients should eat more protein-rich foods, such as milk, fish, eggs, soybeans and soy products. Patients with anemia often have poor appetite or indigestion. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the color, aroma and taste of the food to promote the patient's appetite. In fact, delicious dishes can also promote the secretion of gastric acid.
