What is the reason for frequent urination? Is it a disease?

Frequent urination is a fairly common medical problem that affects men. People with this condition urinate more frequently than usual and may even have the opportunity to empty their bladder at night. So what causes frequent urination?

1. Urinary tract infection, UTI, or UTI, is one of the most common causes of frequent urination. Infection causes the bladder's capacity to hold fluid to decrease and fluid accumulation, inflammation and increased discomfort.

2. Diabetes, both type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes are causes of frequent urination. In fact, this is a sign of one of the symptoms of diabetes. Your body increases the frequency of urination in an attempt to flush the glucose out of your system. Additionally, people with diabetes are often thirsty, which causes them to drink more water and therefore need to empty their bladder more frequently.

3. Excessive drinking of fluids. Frequent urination at night may simply be due to drinking fluids close to bedtime. When you drink alcoholic or other types of beverages multiple times during the day, it can lead to more frequent urination. Plus some drinks may actually act as a diuretic, causing your bladder to fill faster.

4. Prostate problems. Prostate problems are one of the main reasons for frequent urination in men. The enlarged prostate gland partially blocks the flow of urine from the bladder. This causes your bladder to become irritated and to react more frequently even though it may only be holding a small amount of fluid.

5. Bladder disease or injury. Other causes of frequent urination are due to problems with the bladder itself. These may include bladder cancer and damage to the bladder from radiation treatment. Tumors that grow near or may cause bladder inflammation or frequent urination triggers can press on the bladder and create a feeling of needing to urinate constantly.

6. Nerve damage. When the nerves that supply the bladder become damaged or destroyed, this may interfere with normal bladder function. This condition may be the result of a stroke or other neurological disease. Even nerve damage from diabetes may affect the bladder.

7. Drugs. Certain drugs can also cause similar problems. These cause your bladder to fill with fluid more often and need to be emptied more frequently.
