Applicable symptoms

This product is suitable for superficial skin infections caused by sensitive Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and sensitive Gram-negative bacteria.

Chlortetracycline ointment is a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic that has a good inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Pneumococcus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Chlamydia trachomatis. For superficial skin infections. It is mainly used for purulent skin diseases such as impetigo, mild small-area burns and infections of ulcer surfaces.

Dosage

The study group (36 cases) used Premarin ointment combined with chlortetracycline ointment (1 g of Premarin ointment contains 0.625 mg of conjugated estrogen) to apply to the vaginal wall and cervix (after routine vaginal disinfection) before surgery, once a day for 3 to 5 days. The control group (30 cases) received routine vaginal disinfection before surgery and no vaginal medication was used.

After 3 to 5 days of preoperative preparation, vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair were performed under continuous epidural anesthesia. The basic surgical steps and proficiency of surgical techniques were basically the same; the observation indicators included intraoperative blood loss, operation time, postoperative body temperature, and postoperative morbidity (body temperature ≥38℃ for 2 consecutive days from 24 hours to 5 days after surgery); the statistical methods were t-test and X2 test.

Product Principle

This product is a tetracycline antibiotic. Many Rickettsia, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, atypical mycobacteria and spirochetes are sensitive to this product. Enterococci are resistant to it. Due to the widespread use of tetracyclines

Common clinical pathogens are seriously resistant to chloramphenicol, and Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus and most Enterobacteriaceae are resistant. There is cross-resistance between this product and different types of tetracyclines. The mechanism of action of this product is that the drug can specifically bind to the A position of the bacterial ribosome 30S subunit, inhibiting the growth of the peptide chain and affecting the synthesis of bacterial proteins.

Precautions

[Contraindications] It is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergy to tetracyclines.

【Precautions】Drug-resistant strains may overgrow during application.
