What is Cardiac Neurosis?

Cardiac neurological anxiety disorder is a relatively common manifestation of anxiety disorder, also known as functional heart discomfort. The main reason is some heart function problems caused by psychological reasons, which often manifest as palpitations and cause precordial pain. It often causes patients to experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing and dizziness. Most of the patients suffer from it in young and middle-aged people, and it has a relatively large impact on health.

Causes

Due to the influence of factors such as anxiety, tension, emotional excitement, and mental trauma, the excitation and inhibition processes of the central nervous system are disturbed, and the cardiovascular system regulated by the autonomic nervous system also becomes disordered, causing a series of symptoms of excessive sympathetic nerve tension. In addition, excessive fatigue, too little physical activity, and lack of proper exercise of the circulatory system result in the inability to adapt to the slightest activity or fatigue, thus producing excessive cardiovascular response and causing this disease.

Clinical manifestations

It is more common in young and middle-aged women, with a variety of cardiovascular symptoms, which may be mild or severe but are usually not serious. There is usually no evidence of organic heart disease, but it may exist at the same time as organic heart disease or occur on the basis of the latter. Common symptoms are palpitations, chest pain, chest tightness, chest congestion, shortness of breath, accompanied by insomnia, irritability, tension, anxiety, depression, etc.

treat

Adopting the "dual heart" medical model to diagnose and treat patients with cardiac neurosis, providing attention, treatment and guidance from both cardiac and psychological perspectives will greatly improve the treatment effect.

1. Psychotherapy

(1) Make the patient understand the nature of the disease to relieve his or her concerns and convince him or her that there is no organic cardiovascular disease;

(2) Medical staff must be patient in order to gain the trust and cooperation of patients;

(3) Avoid various factors that may aggravate the condition and guide them to correctly deal with social and family conflicts;

(4) Encourage patients to exercise and actively participate in outdoor group activities;

(5) Encourage patients to adjust their mindset, arrange their work and rest time, and engage in entertainment and travel in moderation.

2. Give symptomatic treatment with medication

prevention

1. Regularly participate in sports activities within your ability, generally gentle activities such as Tai Chi, walking, slow walking and other aerobic exercises, to exercise your body and enhance your physical fitness. The specific exercise method and duration can be determined according to the patient's age, physical strength and the severity of the disease. Exercise can be used to release stress and relax the mood. When exercising, you should follow the principle of not feeling tired. Avoid blindly increasing the amount of exercise, and don't be impatient for results.

2. Live a regular life, arrange your life reasonably, and try to combine work and rest.

3. Avoid excessive stress and do not engage in work that requires long duration and high concentration.

4. People with severe insomnia should take symptomatic medication under the guidance of a doctor.

5. Avoid drinking strong tea, coffee, cola and other beverages, and do not eat spicy and greasy foods. Excessive consumption of these foods will stimulate the patient's central nervous system and cause long-term excitement, which will lead to insomnia and aggravate the condition.
