Bipolar disorder

Bipolar disorder

Everyone is very unfamiliar with bipolar personality disorder because they have no idea what it actually manifests like. In fact, bipolar personality disorder can generally be divided into split personality, which means that patients show changes in two non-self personalities, one belonging to the self population, and the other personality that is opposite to that of others. On the contrary, such patients should be given psychological counseling and treatment in a timely manner.

In simple terms

Schizophrenia refers to the inability to correctly understand and perceive the external world.

Multiple personality disorder refers to the existence of different personality types in a person, which the person cannot understand or control.

Dissociative personality disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder or split personality, is a type of mental illness. Multiple personality disorder has more than one personality (if there are 2, it is called dual personality).

Each personality of a patient with multiple personality disorder is stable, fully developed, and has its own thinking patterns and memories. The split personalities are all-encompassing and can have different genders, ages, races, and even species. They take turns controlling the patient's behavior, during which time the original personality has no awareness or memory of this time. The split personalities are aware of each other's existence, but in some cases, the personalities are not aware of each other's existence, which can lead to serious loss of time phenomenon. Usually when the splitting phenomenon begins, the original personality (that is, the personality before the multiple personalities are formed, or the main personality) is unaware of their existence.

Therefore, even if the patient finds that his memory is truncate, he cannot know that he has multiple personalities. In some serious cases, the main personality may even be dormant for more than ten years. But there is often one of the split personalities that knows everything, and if this personality is willing to cooperate, the therapist can learn a lot of useful information from it.
