Why do I still want to pee after peeing when my due date is approaching?

When the due date arrives, pregnant women will show a variety of symptoms, such as frequent urination and urgency, and sometimes they can't hold their urine. This is a relatively normal phenomenon. Don't worry, because when the due date arrives, the baby's head will enter the pelvis, which will further suppress the bladder, causing the bladder volume to decrease, which will make pregnant women want to urinate after urinating, and have symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency.

What are the signs of due date?

1. Uterine fundus descent: The enlarged uterus begins to descend, reducing the pressure on the diaphragm. Pregnant women will feel that breathing difficulties are relieved, the pressure on the stomach disappears, and their appetite increases.

2. Abdominal pain and back pain: The descending fetal head increases the pressure on the pelvis, and the feeling of abdominal pain and back pain will become more and more obvious.

3. Increased frequency of defecation and urination: The descent of the fetus compresses the bladder and rectum, causing the patient to feel the urge to urinate after urinating and not feel comfortable after defecation. Increased discharge from the cervix and vagina.

4. Fetal movement decreases: Fetal movement is not so obvious at this time. Don’t feel uneasy about it. This is because the fetal position is relatively fixed. However, if you still don't feel fetal movement for 12 hours, you should see a doctor immediately.

5. Weight gain stops: Sometimes there is even weight loss, which indicates that the fetus has matured.

6. Frequent and irregular uterine contractions: also known as false labor. Starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, false contractions will often occur in the abdomen. If a pregnant woman stands or sits in the same posture for a long time, she will feel her abdomen hardening from time to time. This is called false labor, which is characterized by irregular timing and varying degrees of intensity. Before delivery, false labor will become more and more frequent due to the traction stimulation of the lower uterine segment caused by the descending fetal head.

7. Bloody seeing: The discharge of mucus and leucorrhea containing blood from the vagina is called “bloody seeing”. Generally, you should go to the hospital for examination within a few hours after seeing blood. But sometimes you still have to wait 1-2 days after seeing blood, and sometimes it takes several days before regular uterine contractions begin to appear.

Calculation of due date

1. Calculation method of the last menstrual period: This is a simple calculation method. Subtract 3 from the month of the last menstrual period (if less than 3, add 9), and add 7 to the day to get the expected date of delivery. For example: If the last menstrual period started on April 5, the expected date of delivery would be January 12 of the following year.

2. Calculated based on the date of fertilization: If you know the date of fertilization, the expected date of delivery is 38 weeks (266 days) from that date. If you use basal body temperature and know the ovulation day, you can calculate the fertilization day. This is more accurate than calculating your due date from the start of your last menstrual period.

3. Ultrasonic tomography: This is a more accurate method for those who are uncertain about the start date of their last menstrual period. Since the size of the gestational sac, the length from the fetal head to the buttocks, and the diameter between the parietal bones on both sides of the fetal head can be calculated, the number of weeks of pregnancy and the expected date of delivery can be calculated based on these values.

4. Estimation based on uterine size: Determine the number of weeks of pregnancy based on the height of the uterine fundus.
