Eczema on the penis

Eczema on the penis

Eczema on the penis may be a symptom of genital warts, which can cause redness and swelling in the patient. At this time, we should avoid sexual intercourse and scratching the skin with our hands. It is best to go to the hospital for treatment. Eczema on the penis is usually treated with medication, and we must pay attention to the hygiene problems on the penis. You can learn about its types and symptoms.

Classification of penile eczema

1. Acute penile eczema: The main manifestations are diffuse redness, swelling, and severe itching of the penile skin. Many needle-sized to rice-sized papules and blisters may appear at the same time. After scratching or rubbing, the erythema, papules, and blisters rupture, revealing large areas of moist erosion, with a large amount of light yellow serous fluid oozing out, some of which condense into pairs of light yellow scabs. Generally, after 2-3 weeks, the redness and swelling will be alleviated, the exudation will decrease, and the wound will gradually heal completely, but it is easy to relapse.

2. Subacute penile eczema: It is transformed from acute scrotal eczema, characterized by mild thickening and mild erosion of the scrotal skin, more scales, very little exudate, and still severe itching.

3. Chronic scrotal eczema: If subacute penile eczema is not treated in time, prolongs for a long time, or recurs repeatedly, it may turn into chronic scrotal eczema. The symptoms are gradual thickening and roughening of the scrotal skin, dark red or gray-brown in color, enlarged wrinkles, walnut-shell shape, and scales attached. During the course of the disease, symptoms of acute or subacute penile eczema such as erosion and exudation may occur due to severe itching and scratching.

What are the symptoms of penile eczema

(1) Small papules, herpes and small blisters: Densely distributed millet-sized papules or small blisters can be found on the penis, with a flushed base.

(2) Exudate and erosion surface: Due to itching, scratching occurs, which causes papules, papulovesicles, blisters and other skin lesions to be scratched, causing serous fluid to continuously exude, often soaking the underwear and forming erosion surface.
