Skin allergies are quite common in daily life. Skin allergies are an allergic reaction, which is caused by some physiological dysfunction and tissue damage caused by stimulation of some antigenic substances in the body. When skin allergies occur, some anti-allergic drugs should be used in time. There are many drugs in this regard, such as antihistamines, allergic reaction mediator release inhibitors, histamine desensitizers, etc., which are all common anti-allergic drugs. What are the anti-allergy drugs? 1. Antihistamines. The most commonly used drugs in clinical practice are histamine H1 receptor antagonists, such as diphenhydramine, promethazine, chlorpheniramine, etc. They are currently the most widely used nonspecific antiallergic drugs. They can compete with histamine for the histamine H1 receptors on effector cells, preventing histamine from binding to the H1 receptors, thereby inhibiting its effect of causing allergic reactions. 2. Drugs that inhibit the release of allergic reaction mediators. It can stabilize mast cell membranes, prevent the release of histamine and other allergic reaction mediators, and produce anti-allergic effects, such as sodium cromoglycate, ketotifen, etc. 3. Histamine desensitization drugs.Such as histamine H1 receptor agonist betahistine, small doses of histamine diluent, dust mite injection, etc., which are repeatedly injected into patients to improve tolerance to histamine. 4. Leukotriene receptor antagonists. Such as montelukast, zafirlukast, etc., which are mainly used for respiratory allergies. 5. Drugs that inhibit antigen-antibody reactions Such as adrenal glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants, etc. 6. Drugs to improve or control allergic symptoms Including smooth muscle antispasmodics, such as salbutamol; including drugs that reduce edema caused by allergies, such as calcium gluconate. Since histamine H1 receptor antagonists are used in the vast majority of clinical situations, the following mainly introduces histamine H1 receptor antagonists. Precautions: Newborns and premature infants are highly sensitive to the anticholine effects of histamine H1 receptor antagonists and should not use them; antihistamines can inhibit skin test reactions to allergenic substances, so all antihistamines should be stopped several days before the skin test to avoid affecting the skin test results. Antiallergic drugs all have side effects. It is not advisable to take a certain antiallergic drug for a long time or in large doses. Otherwise, it will not only easily cause the drug to become ineffective, but in severe cases, various adverse reactions and even toxic side effects will occur. If you need to take other western medicines while taking anti-allergic drugs, be sure to consult a doctor. |
