What to do if venous return is poor

Venous return refers to the process in which the blood transported by the veins flows back to the right atrium. If certain reasons hinder the speed of venous return during the process of venous return, this is poor venous return, which has a great impact on the health of the body, and can easily lead to varicose veins and some more serious diseases. When venous return obstruction occurs, it is necessary to strengthen prevention and carry out regular treatment.

What is venous reflux disorder

The process by which the systemic veins carry blood back to the right atrium. The blood volume of the systemic venous system is very large, accounting for more than half of the total blood volume. Veins can dilate and contract easily, and therefore act as blood storage reservoirs. The contraction and relaxation of veins can effectively regulate the amount of blood returning to the heart and cardiac output, so that the circulatory function can adapt to the needs of the body in various physiological states. The basic force of venous return is the pressure difference between the venules (also called peripheral veins) and the vena cava or right atrium (also called central veins).

Prevention of venous reflux disorders

Under the action of gravity, blood is not easy to flow back to the lower limbs when standing upright. When some people stand up suddenly from a squatting position, due to incomplete regulatory function, the amount of blood returning to the heart will suddenly decrease, causing the arterial blood pressure to drop, resulting in reduced cerebral blood flow and feeling dizzy and blackout. For patients with heart failure, it is advisable to adopt a semi-recumbent or sitting position to reduce the venous return of the abdomen and lower limbs, relieve pulmonary congestion, and thus reduce or eliminate dyspnea. The rhythmic contraction of the muscles squeezes the veins distributed among them, causing blood to flow back to the heart in the direction of the opening of the venous valves.

What to do if venous return is poor

Currently in food, there are high-quality proteins, such as milk, eggs, etc.; high fiber, such as whole grains; high vitamins, such as fruits and vegetables; if you want to get better effects, it is recommended to supplement some nutritional supplements, which should be pure and natural.

It can lead to varicose veins, phlebitis, etc., and complications such as lower limb edema and ulcers. Therefore, it is necessary to find out the cause of the poor blood flow and then provide targeted treatment. What is the cause of right upper limb venous reflux disorder?

It is recommended to help patients do recovery exercises: sit upright on a stool, put the toes of both feet or one foot on the ground, lift the heel up, and then put it down, and repeat this 30 to 50 times. Function: It can promote blood return in the veins of the lower limbs and prevent varicose veins in the lower limbs.

Poor venous return may cause varicose veins. You can choose to use the method of inverted body position to raise your feet to facilitate blood return. If varicose vein symptoms appear now, you can undergo vascular ligation. If it is more serious, then surgery can be performed to remove the varicose veins. Don't worry that ligation and surgery will cause harm to your body, because there are many and wide venous return routes to the heart.
