1. The buttocks are at the lowest point of the human body and are close to the pelvic cavity. If the spleen yang is weak and water cannot be transported and transformed, or if the body is affected by cold and dampness, the pelvic area is most likely to be the place where dampness accumulates, and dampness causes cold blood.

2. Modern people mostly sit while working, sitting for long periods of time and moving little, which can easily cause poor blood circulation in the waist and buttocks and stagnation of blood.

The terrible consequences of cold buttocks

1. The buttocks are located on the dorsolateral side of the human body. Therefore, the meridians passing through this part, such as the Du Meridian, the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian, and the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, are all Yang meridians. Anyone with damaged Yang meridians, with Yang deficiency and Yin excess, may have various gynecological and andrological problems, such as dysmenorrhea and difficulty in menstrual blood discharge.

2. Symptoms of qi stagnation and blood stasis such as sciatica pain in the waist, hips and lower limbs, numbness and weakness in the legs and feet may occur.

3. If the cold and dampness enter through the buttocks and affect the pelvic cavity, it can easily cause pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, endometritis, vaginitis, urinary tract infection and other urinary and reproductive system diseases.

4. If cold and dampness block each other and phlegm and blood stasis accumulate in the uterus (ovaries), it will cause adhesions, cysts, myomas and other abnormalities in the uterus and its appendages.

1. Mugwort is a purely yang product. Applying moxibustion on the buttocks where the yang meridians are more concentrated can help improve the physiological functions of women, who originally have a yin and cold body, and play a role in replenishing yang energy, regulating Chong and Ren, and preventing and treating abnormal menstruation and leucorrhea.

2. Moxibustion is best at warming the meridians and dispersing cold; moxibustion on the buttocks can significantly improve blood circulation in the pelvic cavity and prevent the occurrence of uterine fibroids and cystic cysts. At the same time, moxibustion also has the effects of promoting qi and blood circulation, dispelling cold and dampness, eliminating and relieving inflammation and fluid accumulation in the pelvic cavity, and avoiding adhesion of the fallopian tubes.

3. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Qi flows when it is warm, and blood coagulates when it encounters cold. Therefore, if the Du, Taiyang, Shaoyang and other meridians in the buttocks are injured by cold and dampness, Qi stagnation and blood stasis will occur, and pain will occur if the meridians are blocked. Moxibustion can dispel cold and relieve pain, prevent and alleviate the formation of diseases such as sciatica and hemorrhoids.

4. The buttocks is the intersection of the Ren and Du meridians of the human body. The reproduction, procreation and sexual life of men and women all require the cooperation and participation of healthy and strong gluteal muscles.

Moxibustion area: cold areas of the lower back, buttocks and thighs

Moxibustion method: You can use porous moxibustion boxes or row of moxibustion jars to cover the buttocks and thighs for moxibustion. If you have help from others, you can hold 3 or 5 moxa sticks, tie them together, light them, and then go back and forth to fumigate the cold areas of the buttocks and thighs, staying longer on the Ba Liao and Huan Tiao (the amount of smoke is a bit large).

Time: Although the general acupoint moxibustion time is 10-15 minutes, the fumigation moxibustion on the buttocks and thighs can be longer, not less than 30 minutes. For people with severe coldness, the time should be longer. It mainly depends on personal constitution and you should master it flexibly.

Recommendation: Massage the buttocks or use cupping before moxibustion, especially on the Bladder and Huantiao points, and then do moxibustion. The effect can be said to be twice the result with half the effort.
